So I guess the peg is really short based on those pictures? I understand the wide rectangle around it, but it sure looks like there will be a lot of stress on that wrist.

I think the main issue is how far the rod goes up into Spidey. In order to prevent leaning, it should at least go up through his shoulder into his upper body. If they didn't do that, I think we are going to see a slew of leaning Spideys in less than a year and people will be pissed. It will be interesting if someone on here gets a defective piece and has to destroy Spidey so we can see pics of what it looks like inside his arm and upper body.

Wonder why the EX head is more orange. I see it in the prototype as well as in hand pics.

Yeah. Noticed that too. It doesn't match the body nearly as well as the REG head. I will be asking for an EX head replacement if mine comes that orange.

You are probably right, but again, how does stuff like this keep happening? For $500 this shouldn't be the norm. We have grown accustomed to this type of quality. I really wanted this piece to be perfect and different than what we have received the past few years...........Sorry to sound like a downer, but damn, we go through this all the time.

That's the thing though, even the prototype's head is more orange. It's not like it's a defect in the final product. It's how it was originally advertised.

In all the photos I've seen. It's practically unnoticeable unless you look for it. Not to mention, it may have been a design choice wanted to make the two heads different intentionally so it gives you more reason to display both.

I.e.: bigger explosion, use the ex head since it has more orange shading.

Ok. I will wait till it comes this week and will then make a determination. I will get in the mindset of "bigger explosion". In hand might be better than pictures.

Orange highlights have been on a number of stautes to varying degree, ex head on mine looks fine. Paint app all around looks great considering inherent problems with Spideys contume. It'd be nice to see SSC be consistent with any/all pieces in this line, me thinks GG will look just as good too.

This might sound dumb.... but I can envision a cool looking PF in my mind...

I think this Spider-Man would look pretty awesome swinging off of the Hulk PF. Drill into the Hulk.... insert a rod and attach Spidey to the shoulder.....

I don't have the talent to do that.... or the knowledge.... but would be amazing if anyone could pull that off. I think it would look pretty incredible.

I had assumed it was 'somehow' going to be a straight metal rod. But looking at that pic, if the rod keeps on going its going to have to bend in a few places. Not that I know if that matters at all anyway.

Looking at this again, paint app is great. All lines are black, the blue and red are even throughout with zero overage. Sideshow really did a great job, hopefully it holds up. And it's a great sculpt. If you liked this enough to order I think you'll love it.
