I hope that new Avengers print arrives soon. I think I might have him sign that, even though it's outside on the frame and not the print. Would it have been better to get it unframed to sign, and then framed afterwards, or does that not matter?

What did the Spidey print they were selling look like, if I may ask?

This is the Spidey print (pic stolen from Twitter) they had at Planet Comicon in Kansas City two weekends ago. I assume that it's the print that will be available at all of Stan's appearances this year, but I could be wrong.

It's a nice looking print, but I was glad to have his signature on something more unique and as awesome as my Spidey PF.

Yeah, this is the connecting covers variant for Midtown Comics:
Superior Spider-Man 31 , Amazing Spider-Man 1, and Amazing Spider-Man 1.1.
Love J. Scott Campbell, one of my favorite artists.

I shared some pics in the art print thread but I was able to get him to sign my Avengers Trinity Print and get it professionally framed with the CoA.

It would be 100 times easier to buy it unframed and frame it later

I was worried about the costs of the framing outside of Sideshow, but I guess it makes sense to have his autograph on the print, plus getting that COA in the frame like bransen. I will have to turn to you guys for advice on where to get it framed without overpaying too much, because I heard it's expensive. Man, does Sideshow let you transfer the NRD for something like that? I bought the TMNT print framed too and I had thoughts about getting Eastman's autograph on that as well...

They'll do it once

if you are just transferring it over directly from one order to the another they will usually be fine with it as long as you ask nicely. Really it depends on who you talk to but usually they are quite accommodating if your not threatening them or demanding things. I have a few different NRD transferred or refunded for various reasons. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Just call them up and tell them what happened and why you want to change the order. They may cancel your original orders and tell you to reorder afterward, but I've never had a problem with them doing it.

I think you could take the frame apart to get the print signed if you really needed to DW. You just have to unglue the kraft paper on the back and buy more kraft paper and acid free framers tape to replace the used bits?

You save so much money buying it unframed tbh. And for the price, I'm not even sure that sideshow's frames are worth the extra money. The glass doesn't offer any protection.

I'll give it a try, thanks guys! Maybe I can order something new with equal NRD and see if they can apply it to that, I don't mind having them replace orders for the print alone instead of unframed, and then ordering something else for the NRDs to be applied to so that they know I'm still invested in their product, just trying to move the funds around without losing anything since it's an expensive hobby.

Early on, some people were saying how it is more worth it to get prints framed because framing outside was expensive/overpriced or whatever the case was, so I thought framed was the way to go. I never know which way to go with this things, haha. I hadn't thought about getting the prints signed until recently.

That's really cool.[/QUOTE]
Thanks man :hi5:

Well I was told to buy them unframed and get a portfolio because it's easier to store them that way.

Someone from SSC, can't remember who, said that the glass doesn't offer any UV protection so that's why I opted to get mine framed professionally.

I'm not sure if SSC's frame are humidity safe so that was a concern for me since Hawaii is 80+% humidity all the time so another reason why I got my prints framed here.

It all comes down to what you need and how much money you wanna put into it tbh. That Stan Lee print ended up costing me close to $500 at the end of the day with the print, signature, and frame but I know that print is gonna be mint for a long time.

How did you flatten them, I remember they came rolled, just unroll and put some books on it?

I'll write SSC an email later tonight when I have time. I don't think I can live chat this week with them due to busy schedule and I want to try to get it done ASAP in case the prints are suddenly ready to ship. Hopefully they are cool with me wanting to get actual autographs on them instead of their automated printed ones and will be able to let me move it to a statue or something (I guess I will be getting the Wolverine PF after all since the NRD matches the 2 prints together, haha, either that or something else, maybe the Vader PF after the new features). I've always had a good experience with their customer service, never any complaints, replacement parts always went well and they were very accommodating, hopefully they will understand this time as well.
