DC Universe are hardly hot..especially around my area. MOTU Classic line does not suck..who said they suck?, i just don't want my Thundercats figures looking anything like them, did ya get it yet there Castro?.

I'd start collecting Super Powers before i'd buy any more Universe figures.

I am cool with the Thundercats Classics (getting them) but they will never compare to the MOTU Classics and the LARGE Character selection we are getting from Mattel

I am fine by their size..as it keeps them seperate from MOTU, plus they stated they wanted to base them from the LJN original size of the line which was 8" tall....so it works for me

I dont like it. I know they're toys but I feel they should make them for the adults who collects toys.

I like the look of the new figures. I really like the articulation but I am going to take a wait and see stance on the line as a whole. I'll probably pick up Lion-O and Tygra and base if I'm buying more on those two. I would like to see a Cheetara and Panthro. I hope this line gets the Bandai Japan attention but I have little hope for Bandai America.

8" figures are perfect! :chew

I wish people would stop the MOTU C-sucking in here, these are Thundercats and i don't want them to be anything like MOTU..no stubby muscle dudes, Bandai did a good enough job.

Well unfortunately "good enough" in this day in age isn't good enough. The visual aesthetics of Thundercats inherently lends to more
detailed sculpting. People draw the comparison to MOTU because even those have more edge sculptwise. Other companies have even upped the
ante when it comes to more detailed sculpts, so why shouldn't Bandai America? especially with a property as anticipated as Thundercats.

I hate the DC Universe line..boring reused sculpts, DC Direct do a far better job with figures.

That's because DC Direct base their figures off artist specific styles. DC Universe makes for a more cohesive
and uniformed line, which is why many prefer it over DC Direct.

Ok guys i have a quick question i noticed this is a video from mtv, i havent watched mtv in many years but they cover toy collecting now??!? I come from a small town where almost nobody collects toys, is collecting a big mainstream thing now, i honestly have no idea, i thought we where more of a niche type group.

wings close up on him...whipping action...thats the crap i hate. Those are teh figures in my eyes that are really geared for children. I just cant stand when my toy has a function that I dont care for. I just want a nice sculpt in a good pose. I do want that chunky mummra.

That's pretty much how I feel. These Thundercats Classics figures look GREAT, imo. If MOTUC hadn't come out we would all be drooling over these.

Personally, I think we've just been spoiled by MOTUC, which is an AMAZING line and quite possibly one of the nicest toy lines ever done. Some of the best toy sculptors out there are responsible for bringing these to life - people need to take into consideration that the 4Horsemen are among the best in the business. As far as toy design/sculpting has come along in recent years, the stuff they do is almost always going to look better than the competition. Appreciate just how good MOTUC is without constantly comparing other toy lines to it - otherwise, you'll just be disappointed. 4H sculpting is at (or at least very near) the pinnacle of the toy design industry right now - not the standard.

Hey, we all would have loved for Mattel to get the license but it didn't happen. As far as I'm concerned, these came out better than anyone should have hoped after hearing the news that Mattel couldn't get the licence, and I'm definitely going to be buying them, "shiny" plastic and all.

Original Lion-o and Tygra figures were shiny plastic too, if you didn't know it or think this is another knock on Bandai for doing it this way.

I see Hachiman, and i love the satanic goat dude :rock

That would be Mongor. I have the entire collection and would love to have it all out, but just don't have the room. I had pictures in my gallery, but the site erased them or they're lost some how.

I cant see the video you posted Kuzeh. My job blocks youtube. Didnt Mongor have a scythe he carried...The thundercats had some great villains to go up against. Really creative stuff.
