the colors look over saturated, i.e. tygra's way too blue. hope the official releases are more in tune with the original toy colors.

These will be mine. :yess:

The retro figures aren't bad... but they shiny plastic is a bummer. I think MOTUC has spoild me on how good a line like this could be.

Especially considering they will likely charge a similar price.

Yeah, they're no MOTUC, but they're still pretty good. If these had come out prior to MOTUC, we'd be going gaga over these. As such, we're pretty harsh critics. They don't seem to have the "life" in the face sculpts like MOTUC figures do (after all, the 4H aren't sculpting them...), but I'm definitely looking forward to getting these. Tygra looks great!

Definitely agree... these feel a bit more processed than if you had a team like the 4-Horseman doing them. Not bad work, but just not as nice as we've seen in this scale.

These remind me of the Hasbro Legends figures; not bad, but clearly not up to the previous standards.

I'm wondering if they will be like the Kinnikuman figures from a few years ago.

The Japanese releases had nice paint work and tight joints, but the US release were cast in color plastic; joints were a gray color and the bodies were hit and miss when it came to quality. Real bummer as the base figures were nice, but the US versions were much more mass market.

This is why Bandai J is way above Bandai A. Bandai A seems to only want to market to children and rarely do something for more adult collectors. I undstand the US has a different market and all, but damn why does it seem that Bandai J seem to understand the collector market alot better than Bandai A.

Supposedly leaked footage of the new show....

Not sure what to think.

That's definitely not from the new show,
maybe the CGI movie, if so,
it looks terrible... :yuck!

Yeah thats not the new show. Ive seen plenty of images that suggest the show is still done traditional 2D style. Plus its animated by the same Korean company thats doing the new Young Justice show on Cartoon Network.

The more I look at the toys it looks like Bandai has been doing research on Revoltechs is what it looks like.

Indeed, but still these figures look great I'm sure the colors will be toned down. Prototype images like this are hard to produce, and often obscure details. On the other hand I agree that MOTUC has spoiled us, and anything released that wasn't sculpted by the 4H is a let down.

Yeah, definitely NOT from the new show. The Lion-O there is completely different from the new design, and looks more like this:

It has to be test footage for that CGI movie that never came to be.

My initial reaction is a pass, unless I find them on clearance.

Man I was really hoping for a line like MOTUC for the Thundercats. The Lion-O looks pretty decent but the Tygra just looks off.

Maybe seeing them in person it will change my mind?

Lovin' the classics look--the articulation even looks waaay better than the original Thundercats figures of the '80s!

It doesn't look like Lion-O's eyes light up tho.
