That looks nice, Asta! What body specifically is it? I think it has some decent advantages over the seamless ones, and the height is nice!

I'm pretty sure it came from VeryCool's first Shooter Girl - the one in black.

When I pre-ordered the set I already had the body. To get it to Carrie's 5' 1" height I took off the feet and ankle pegs, and until today had her standing with the Hasbro boots on.

She's shorter than Mr. Toys intended, so the skirt was too long and because it's wired it was pushing the belt up. You can see in the photos that I folded the wire over at the bottom to shorten it so it no longer caused a problem.

I agree. I'm just gonna pluck those headworms off, fill the holes if needed, and touchup the paint. Won't be hard.

They're okay once they're pulled free and let to 'hang' as though by gravity. I thought about pulling them out, but then I'd have to deal with the holes and the paint marks on the cheeks.

I'll probably get shot down for this, I think the headsculpt is passable and I actually like it. Sure the sideburns are a bit freaky but honestly the headsculpt just isn't that bad, especially at a slight angle. She'll certainly be just fine posed in front of Jabba, like in Asta's pics up there. For the price point she'll more than suffice.

I'm coming around to the same conclusion with Asta's pics. Looks to me like this may do the trick within the whole Jabba setup and also on a shelf standing upright among some ROTJ figures. I just probably wouldn't isolate this on a shelf alone.

I'm definitely more excited to get this set today than I was yesterday.

That's just it it will still fit well into a Jabba display, just like some of those old Sideshow figures do. Take the Sideshow Bib Fortuna for example, sure he looks a little dated now when taken in isolation, but in a Jabba display you really don't notice, they all just become part of the collective.

I tried to track down the code for the body.

It's certainly from VeryCool, and possibly FX02B (Suntan, medium bust).

This is the pale version:

To get the right height I must have taken off the ankle extension sections too. I didn't notice when I swapped the boots over today, but I have another of these bodies and placing it next to Leia it lines up if you discount those extra cylinders above the ankle pegs.

Yeah with pretty much all of these custom slave Leias over the years the thing you should always remember is you're never going to end up with something that even vaguely looks like HT just released a slave Leia.

It's something that blends into a group of figs nicely - ideally a Jabba dio, where Jabba's the major center of attention. It just doesn't hold up to the closer scrutiny of being a standalone fig (for example, next to one or two other figs on a Detolf shelf,) especially next to HT figs.

I used the Hasbro slave Leia and the TBLeague S17B body

Looks really good!
Where is the head sculpt and ponytail from (looks like HT quality) and where is the outfit from (I can't find a matching reference for it)?
You say you used the Hasbro slave Leia, but it can't be the 1999 Hasbro (The Power Of The Force) figure as it doesn't match the outfit.

There are multiple differences between the two (possibly three) versions of 12" Leia Slave that Hasbro made in the late 90s/early 2000s, but looks like Bob took a scalpel to the Hasbro bikini bottom to make it a bit more shape accurate, making the Hasbro outfit he used appear slightly different.

It's kind of a trade-off between the sculpt being a bit more accurate or the overall shape being a bit more accurate.

The head appears to be a HT Leia Bespin (or Hoth, or Endor - they are all the same sculpt and very similar paint paint just with different hair inserts) or eBay knock-off of one of those heads - the moody lighting in the pic makes a it hard to pick the paint differences between a HT original and a knockoff.

I went up into the attic and looked at the box for the set I used: it was the 1999 Hasbro version.

Parts of it are still pretty good, as with the bracelet, armband, skirt plates, boots and, of course, the bra.

On this version there was a little hook under the bra to channel the cord that doubled as the lower gold arms. I snipped it off and made do without the arms, because overall it was a better effort than Mr. Toys'.

The Hasbro also had a metal chain, but at the end if it was a plastic gold ring. I never noticed whether that was an invention or actually in the film.

Ok… quick rundown on Leia..
HT endor head with knock- off slave Leia ponytail….
TB league S17B body shortened about 10 mm
Hasbro slave Leia bra… skirt plates… bracelet all made from resin … find it much easier to work with and shape
All the other bits are made from brass rod and wire…. the boots are Hasbro

I've just done exactly the same head set up and have the s17b on order. How did you shorten a tbleague body by 10mm? Very curious on that one!

You will need to roll the rubber leg up a bit … now you can see the ball joint and a long rod …. this is where you need to cut a section out… then sleeve it with a bit of tube …. please make sure you know how much you won’t to shorten her … made mine over a year ago so only guessing it’s 10 mm

I’m trying to do the same thing as we speak! Quick questions for the expert!- how did you cut through the steel? Did you keep the feet/ will they fit in the boots?
Thanks in advance!

Just used a small hacksaw and for the boots put them in boiling hot water let them go soft then push the foot in to stretch the boot …. job done

What skin tone did you get?
it’s the sun tan one…. but I had to use chalk to get the colour close to the head… don’t think I can get a perfect match as the body is rubber which is mat and the head is plastic and has a satin finish

I’d excluded the S17B from my potentials list for being too tall- but hacking her shins off was definitely a good way to get around that obstacle.

S17 seems to scale very well with the head though… I really wish tbleague gave more info and comparison shots with measurements etc instead of just high contrast, artsy nude pics.

Think I’ll take a gamble on a more petite body just to see if it works. These things are so easy to sell off; if it’s not right, I’ll just go for what’s tried and true.

Where did you source the ponytail?
Also which exact Hasbro outfit?
Because the 1999 Princess Leia with chain (The power of the force) figure outfit doesn't match exactly with what you have.
I can't find any other Hasbro Slave Leia out there.

Just found them on eBay… don’t forget I custom made mine
