Coronation Arwen with Flag . . . :monkey5

I doubt they'd do any armored PFs yet, because there's a lot of possibilities. I'm thinking that what they release on PF wouldn't want to coincide too early with what they've already released in the 12" line (otherwise that would cut into each other's markets).

I'm not missing a Gimli yet -- the one from SS/W works fine for me, and is low on my priority list. Recall that Sideshow mentioned at the beginning that they'd do PF ones they felt were "under represented".

For some reason they missed the mark on GTW though, because the SS/W bust or statue is still better. Go figure.

Well then an armored PF would work, right? We haven't seen any armored dolls yet.

I expect a Ringwraith should it be a baddie or Arwen.

I thought it was very clear, hence my post as to who was left. And for the purposes of this exercise - Gandalf is the same as a human.

I guess Arwen at the coronation would be okay, but she'd really need a coronation Aragorn to go with her. I'd rather see the Falls riding dress - much more interesting I think, and would go well with Frodo (sorta).

Seems like it's alot easier to accurately recreate the bad guys [eg. lurtz] and I think SS really needs to hit one out of the park with this PF line......we need a ringwraith! :monkey5

At least there would be no face sculpt to F up :monkey1

Of all the outfits Arwen had in the movies, we have only one represented by Sideshow -- the Ford of Bruinen one, in bust form. The statue is based on an unused concept from a deleted scene.

So if they make an Arwen, I dearly hope it's one of the beautiful dresses she wears throughout the films. Anything from the kimono-inspired one from Rivendell, to the Greek tunic-inspired one from Aragorn's dream in TTT, to her mourning dress from TTT's flash-forward sequence, to her riding blue brocate or her red-black dying gown from ROTK, to her lime-colored Coronation outfit.

Really, why create the same thing twice when you're so spoiled for choice, and all your remaining choices are less macho than the one already made?

As for the Elves in general -- they had the most amazing costumes in the Trilogy, and anything from Arwen to Elrond to Haldir to High-elven Infantryman to Galadhrim Archer or perhaps even Gil-galad would certainly amaze.

BTW, you're right, Dave. The Istari did incarnate in human form, so we should count them as such for the design intents and purposes...

As "easy" it would be to do a Ringwraith...I think a Ringwraith might save this line...everyone likes em...how can you not?

...what would be cool is if u pulled back its hood...it revealed a twilight witchking or something....:monkey5

I agree..A ringwraith with a removable hood would be awesome!!:rock2:rock2

While a Ringwraith would be a nice option, I'm not sure how SS would handle keeping the hood up in suspension molded to how we love seeing them. I mean, the shape has to stay the same-- rigid and hollow-looking, and not flop on the crown portion. Somehow, if SS undertook this, it'll be a tough sell to make sure it looked like a beloved Ringwraith.

If they want to save this line they should not do humans any time soon.. Think Lurtz (winner) , Frodo (loser) and the ulti, ate dud Gandalf the White (PU)..

Bring on the evil... It sells..

They wont do it though.. Arwen is probably next and a big thumbs down to that..

They could always wow us with some armored dude. Numenorean, High-Elf, Rohirrim, Gondorian, Galadhrim --- any one of those would look great opposite Lurtzy for some great contrast. :monkey5

I don't see the hood on a Wraith being too difficult, they would only need a black polystone base or stud for the hood to rest on - and if it sat back far enough you would never notice.

Anything hollow that could hold the shape, really. Can't see the difficulty.

Right now, as much as I hate to agree with the Arwen-hating Bodie The Indeed Cursed, :D, he's right. This line definitely needs a baddie that will sell well and appease the huge Bad Guy Fanbase. And Ringwraiths totally fit the bill. Add limited poseability, and there WILL be people who'll get nine of them.

Look at what this character did for the GG LOTR bust line. It's a no-brainer -- can't go wrong on the facial sculpt, and you can excel in the fabric and clothing department, which is Sideshow's major strength.

Arwen should wait until they're fully able to produce a perfect miniature Liv Tyler, anyway.

Last Alliance High Elven Warrior??????????

That would :rock :rock :rock :rock :rock

Now that would be a PF I would definately buy :rock :rock
Gimli would also be great but Ive got the SSW version of him which I love so I'm not too bothered about him.
I've wanted a HEW since they started with the LOTR PF line, and I don't usually buy PF's but I would get at least one of them !!
:D
