It'd be a good sign of how deep they're willing to go with the line. I'd be happy to see him. Not positive I'd buy him, but maybe. If I really just decided to stick with ANH he'd be a definite though.
If they nailed Cushing's likeness it'd be a guaranteed purchase for me. If it was so-so like Old Ben, I'd pass. Figures are just too expensive now to settle. (And visually the *only* interesting thing to me about characters like Tarkin or Ben represented in this format *is* the likeness to the actor... Good representation of the 'character' is not enough).

Seems like Monday nights are becoming "this finally shipped" nights for the Marvel group. They were so used to being #1 before Star Wars hit.

Seems like with all the amazing characters in Star Wars, Tarkin just won't make the HT cut. Like Tarkin never seems to make the cut. Besides that, I think HT is basically done with ANH -- aside from Trooper Han -- and will likely move on finally to ESB and more ROTJ besides Boba.

I would like a nicely tailored Imperial Officer's uniform though to make a nice Tarkin.

Tarkin actually has a better chance of being made by HT than most PT characters.

I don't mean to burst bubbles, but Lucasfilm/Disney is going to remain relatively stingy in regards to approving Prequel-based products (particularly high-end ones) over the next 5 years or so.

I'm sure HT will make a Prequel figure here or there, but it won't be too many.

They think that people hate everything about the prequels but most of us don't. It's the way they were executed, not their existence.
The characters, the setting and that whole period in general is pretty enteresting to fans.

I imagine that's true -- mostly because there's going to be so much Disney-related Star Wars content to sell in that 5 year time period.

Still not feeling a Tarkin though... but if one came I'd be the happiest person here.

It's not so much that (although the stigma of the PT among the mainstream is a small part of it). There just isn't as much synergy between the PT and what LFL/Disney are now doing.

Can't say I've seen anything to indicate that. If anything after watching TFA I see more evidence that there is no anti-PT agenda on Disney's part. Heck, even Marvel is doing an Obi-Wan and Anakin series now set between TPM & AOTC.

The whole Disney heavily ignoring the PT sentiment was strictly fan-made.

Right. Check the climate of Star Wars output pre and post Disney acquisition. They absolutely pushed the PT to the back burner. They won't trash it completely, because these is still money to be milked there, but it's absolutely been sidestepped.

That being said, I would love to see HT do the prequel droids. HT would destroy SSC's Battle Droid.

Show me some proof because I see none other than wishful thinking on the part of anti-PT fans.

Again, a prime example is this, which Disney wouldn't be doing if they really wanted to "push back or sidestep" the PT:

It doesn't help that the ongoing figure lines and Hasbro products keep making PT merchandise (Yoda Force FX lightsaber, TPM Darth Maul Speeder, Black Series Jango Fett, etc...)

There is just no sign of an anti-PT agenda on Disney's part.

A couple of comicbooks vs the ocean of prequel output pre-Disney doesn't tell you anything? Come on, man.

Obviously the output is targetted primarily at TFA but I see no evidence of the non-TFA output ignoring the PT. I buy ALOT of Star Wars merchandise. Just two weeks ago I bought the Star Wars vinyl collection from Amazon. Gorgeous box set that sounds incredible. It includes episodes I - VI (VII comes out in April)

Disney Store, Barnes & Noble & Target - which have entire sections dedicated to Star Wars have lots of PT stuff in them. I frequent them constantly. TFA is the primary focus but there's stuff from the other 6 episodes available too.

Disney seems to be treating the PT exactly the same way as they're treating the OT via their current output.

So where are all the HT PT figures, SNIKTS?

HT opened with ANH which made sense given that its the most iconic of the seven. Then they moved [appropriately] into TFA.

To say at this very early point in time for the license that HT is ignoring the PT is incredibly shortsighted.
