What are you guys talking about? :lol

That is a release schedule of current figures on pre-order. It is in no way an indication of what Hot Toys has planned for future events like SDCC or future figures like Suicide Squad or Star Wars. That list literally means release dates....

The point I was making is that there soon will not be anything OT star wars related for the rest of 2016 because we are being inundated with a bunch of superhero figures that look nearly identical to figures released about 12 months ago. Nothing else is even officially announced yet. Meaning it will probably be at least early to mid 2017 before anything that I'm interested in gets shipped.

I could imagine seeing a hiatus in OT figures until next year, with only Stormtrooper Han being released and TFA releases limited to Old Man Han, Poe and Finn Trooper (perhaps Stormtrooper Han at one convention and Finn Trooper at another). For Rogue One I think it'll be warmed over OT releases like ANH Stormtrooper and ANH Vader, with maybe some kind of trooper from Rogue One if anything new and cool shows up on screen (and where the moulds can be used on a number of different figures!). That will get announced in September around Force Friday. Then around Christmas we'll start getting teases and announcements for an ESB wave which will ship next autumn, just before the release of Episode VIII, which would make sense because like ESB that will be the second, darker film in a Star Wars trilogy (and I bet there'll be some similarities).

Pure speculation, and they'll probably announce an ewok two pack next week just to show me how wrong I am.

I think you are very correct.

We had a really great run of Star Wars 1/6th -- I'm very thankful for it. I can at last put my collection into a context that I can see an end to it. Truth is, if they never made another Star Wars figure, I think my life would be better for it.

I'm just getting started!

That's great that HT just revealed Ant-Man but if they don't use tomorrow's blu-ray release as an excuse to preview Old Han there'll be hell to pay...

Seriously there's gotta be something. Even the laziest of announcements -- Han trooper or Finn trooper -- would be welcome, but those are possibly convention exclusives.

Do they ever announce new regular release figures back to back? I am not expecting an announcement tonight.

Civil War Ant-Man...? Looks like a worse figure from the first.

Couldnt agree more. The first one has only just come out and they are showing a new one with a very similar suit and worse sculpt. Very odd. Everyone will be jumping on the v1 now!!

Next month it'll be a full year since the last new OT figure announcement (Leia came a bit later, but teaser images of her had been around a while.)

This nearly year-long OT drought has been pretty surprising. You have to wonder if this hinted-at bounty of ESB and ROTJ figs will play out over quite a few years, not a year or so as people had assumed not long ago.

The Rogue One figures (while yes, technically intersecting with OT I guess) will soon be taking over, then after that there'll only be a fairly short window before Ep8 starts ramping up.

That looks like how its going to size up. After all its already been a year.

HT seems to go for the all-or-nothing approach in conjunction with film releases (modern film releases)... perhaps its part of the deal with marketing.

No Star Wars trilogy movie on the horizon, not Star Wars figures on the horizon.

Remember when the Marvel people were freaking out at all the Star Wars announcements a year ago at the expense of their own line?
