Next month it'll be a full year since the last new OT figure announcement (Leia came a bit later, but teaser images of her had been around a while.)

Man, Boba really is getting no love. Completely forgettable apparently.

I totally agree. However, that was pretty unique as they were simultaneously pumping out figures from 2 films, both of which were the first film of a trilogy.

Sorry, I'll amend that - "the last new OT figure announcement that isn't a 1/6 version of an imminently releasing 1/4 same-character-same-outfit figure"...

Sort of a strange plan really... "let's release a 1/4 ROTJ Fett... and then release a 1/6 ROTJ Fett right after it." Sure way to make it kinda forgettable.

I could not wait for them to do an Emperor so I tracked down this set... Yeah it is old, the bodies stink and the paint apps could be better but for $120 this is an awesome set and I am having a blast playing with these guys.










I plan on doing a bit of paint mods on the Chancellor but Darth Sidious is pretty cool as is actually. Two lit and unlit light sabers, a Sith holocron, a police droid, two full figures with decent tailoring. I have to say, I had way more fun opening and messing with this set than anybody but Chewbacca out of the HT releases.

This nearly year-long OT drought has been pretty surprising. You have to wonder if this hinted-at bounty of ESB and ROTJ figs will play out over quite a few years, not a year or so as people had assumed not long ago.

The Rogue One figures (while yes, technically intersecting with OT I guess) will soon be taking over, then after that there'll only be a fairly short window before Ep8 starts ramping up.

Dang, that sucks.

I'm a little worried now we may not see a Poe figure at all. And y'know, the prequels have actually grown on me a bit, so I kind of want an Anakin figure now... Maybe I'll just get that Inigou custom. Not sure I want to wait 2-3 years for an official release...

I'm patient, but only to a point, especially if there's a good custom option.

I'd most likely buy an Anakin, Maul, and Amidala if they put her in one of her more over-the-top costumes. That would be a gorgeous figure...

I previously said I wouldn't buy any prequel figures, but...yeah. They movies have grown on me a little. I'll never love them as much as the original films (or TFA), but oh well!

I would happily buy a Qui-Gon figure. Maul and Grievous probably as well. The rest would probably be a pass unless they looked amazing.

Not a huge fan of the "A Star Wars Story" tag - I didn't realize that was going to be on everything.

The design looks more TFA influenced than vintage.

Looks like something EU (Malgus breather + shadowtrooper helmet) that Sideshow would have loved to have done in 2009.

Yeah, I was hoping RO was going to be a return to more "pure" OT in terms of costumes/weapons/vehicles but it does seem more TFA tweaked.
