To Mesa, you said they should bench McNabb for Vick at halftime, I think that would be retarded because McNabb is great and Vick is mediocre at best, and down by however many they were with half the game left (less than 23 presumably, though I didn't watch the whole game) isn't time to panic unless you are Sean Payton playing the Cowboys.

Like I mentioned before, I don't claim to be a huge NFL knowledgeable person, so I don't know or follow as much as the hard core fans here, but...

Even the eagles fans sitting next to me were asking to put Vick in on the third quarter after it seemed mcnab wasn't on his A game, since nothing else was working.

I don't understand your post. They were trailing the entire game, never scored, never came close to scoring.

McNabb fumbled in the red zone and there was also a dropped pass that easily could have led to a score in the first half. They were moving the ball, just not finishing drives.

Exactly. At the end of the half I thought, well at least they were moving the ball and just making mistakes. However, they continued. No reason to put Vick in. This was a total team loss. Everyone is at fault.

That is what pissed me off the most. It could have easily been tied or a three point game at the half. So it goes. I like their chances next week. Everyone will be picking Dallas.

Sorry if I pissed anyone off with my comments, just what I recall from watching football all day.

On a side note, think my OVER (33.5) for jets/bengals will hit? Why was the over so low in this game? I'm liking it so far.

I wasn't pissed off, I was just pointing out how wrong you were.:monkey5:monkey5:monkey5

Liene I said, I'm an ignorant newb.

If it weren't for being able to put small wagers on the games, I probably wouldn't watch any games but redskins :monkey2 and cardinals.

I don't have what it takes to do fantasy football. Can't keep up with it all.

IMO, fantasy football is for jocks what D&D is to nerds.

I think some comedian said that.

I have no idea how fantasy football even works. I just know you get points for stats of players you have on your team.:lol:lol:lol

Reports aren't good with Pats WR Wes Welker. After an injury in todays Texans game, it looks like his season is done. He's undergoing an MRI on Monday. The latest report from NFL.com says that Welker might have torn both the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in the knee. Not good news for the Patriots in the playoffs if it's true...

I heard that earlier and people still wonder why coaches rest their starters when they can.

My poor nephew back on MD is a diehard skins fan. Knows stats, records and all. He's nine now, but this is going on over a year now.

He started to cry when skins lost when I visited awhile ago. Not balling, but tears. This year I asked him about them and he said "they suck" which was a first. But yet he hates the ravens, even though he's only about an hour from Baltimore. It's how he was raised.

It's weird how in MD you will find more skins fans than Raven fans. Think because of the franchise start.

Apologies if my response seemed a bit short. But asking to put Vick in in a game that could have given them a bye in the playoffs doesn't make sense to me. Vick was out of the league for a few years with the dog fighting thing, and came back this year with very little playing time and very little to suggest he can really take over as an every down QB that I can see. Even when he was playing for the Falcons, he was no McNabb by any stretch.

But then, saying the Eagles fans wanted Vick in doesn't surprise me. Like I said before, lots of Philly fans have had it out for McNabb since day one, and to this day don't seem to give him a break. Sure, he has off days, but the body of work doesn't warrant all the ill will he seems to have received there. The guy has had a fantastic decade, and has helped the Eagles win a lot of games.

All it takes is one bad drive and Philly fans start booing, so that doesn't surprise me at all either.

It's just a freak thing though. It could have easily happened in the first series next week too.

As it is now I have a hard time seeing the Pats go further than the second round and may be just bounced by the Ravens. Time to tend to off-season matters.

Re-Sign Wilfork now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it'll get done. Especially after the Pats traded Seymour to the Raiders for their 1st round pick next year. I think they did that because they could've only signed either or at the end of the year...and Wilfork was the guy they picked.

This Pats team is going to need a slight overhaul next year. Losing Vrabel, Bruschi, Harrison, and turnover at their offensive coordinator position hurt them very much this year. I'd be happy if Charlie Weis came back in, even if it was a consulting position.

I didn't think Seymour was going to re-sign in any scenario. Looking back it may have hurt for this year, but the Raiders should be terrible enough to make sure the Pats get a quality pick.

I look forward to what they're going to do in regard to the secondary. It seems like a patchwork deal for the last few off-seasons. I wouldn't oppose trying for Bodden for another year, but I'm sure he'll get more money elsewhere. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to never see Jonathan Wilhite again either.
