I am just glad Rodgers played good, I have felt bad for that guy the last few years.

If i was a Saints fan i'd be ____ting bricks.
I don't know. I'm less worried about getting into a shootout than having to deal with an awesome defense, throwing Brees off his rhythm. Warner does seem to become a football god in the playoffs, however, which does scare me. Honestly, I was initially hoping the Cards would win, because it seemed like a fluke scoring so much so quickly. I figured that was a good situation for the Saints, as they could be playing the inferior team. Then, when the Pack came back from that huge deficit, I was still glad we would be playing the Cards, because the Pack came back from the early deficit and almost took it! :lol

Like I said before, the Cards are really uneven from week to week (even though they weren't in the playoffs last year). And I can envision the Saints winning next week's game. I can also envision them losing, of course.

Classic game, this will go down as one of the all time great playoff games.
That's what happens when defenses quit, I guess. Seemed a bit less exciting to me than some other close games, because the defense was a non-factor in the last quarter and a half or so.

Anyways, yeah, I have no idea what the Saints/Cards game will be like. I would prefer a shootout than seeing both teams play like crap, as they both are wont to do from time to time.

Apart from that, I'm probably most interested in the Colts/Ravens game next week. Those are two teams that strike me as very strong right now. Ravens domination of the Pats was a surprise to me.

As for early picks:
Saints!
Colts
Jets(!)
Cowboys, sadly

Then, Saints will have their revenge! I'll be more pessimistic about the Saints' chances tomorrow, I'm sure.

I was hoping for the Cardinals to beat the Packers...seeing the Cards in a way as the "lesser of two evils" so to speak. Now...wow. I feel like I'm eating my words. I am praying for a performance by the Saints just like they did when the soundly beat the Patriots at home in the Superdome. They can do it again. I know they can! I still have faith in my Saints! They MUST be on their BEST game! This is THE game of the season for the Saints. If they do not win, then our dream season is over. If they do win, then they go on to the N.F.C. Championship game, and play either the Vikings or Cowboys.

If they get behind the Cardinals...it will be a challenge to come back. They have done it before and can do it again. I'd rather see the Saints dominate the game, and win it! Almost every player will be healthy for the Saints. Or, at least enough to play. Charles Grant will be out. But he's been very inconsistent this season. I wish halfback Heath Evans was healthy. We could use him in the backfield on offense, if anything as an extra blocker for Brees.

YOU CAN DO IT SAINTS! YOU NOW KNOW WHO YOU WILL PLAY! GET READY! NOW IT'S TIME TO SHOW EVERYONE WHO YOU ARE! GO SAINTS!

Hey "karamazov80" it's good to see a little optimism from you. At least for a little while. Yeah, a shootout game between the Saints and the Cards would be fun. Then the Saints winning at the very end would...of course...be incredible! In the end I'll take a win by the Saints in whatever way it comes.

Yeah, I honestly think we can take the Cards. They've gotta be on their game, though. They need to run the ball, and they can't give up the big defensive play. If they do that, everything else should fall into place, IMO. They've done themselves proud so far this year, now they just need to win 3 straight! No biggie, right? :D

I would go and shoot my mouth off at how cards are going to kill the saints, but I'll just wait for the final score and then talk smack.

I really like Warner alot, but I think it might be in the Cardinals' best interest to put Leinert in next week. He matches up better with the Saints D. I'm gonna send Whisenhunt an e-mail.

Let me guess that pick was with heart not your brain?

Actually, it's based on their performance over the last couple weeks. . .and the fact that I can't stand the Chargers at all :D So, a little of both. But then, how many fans of football make rational choices when picking teams?

I should say, I think the Jets coach is right on--a solid running game and defense can win you some football games, even against the much ballyhooed Chargers, I think.

Cowboys/Chargers would be a nightmare scenario of a Superbowl to me. I don't know if I could even watch.

For real?!?!! Good reverse psychology, Saints fan. Leinhart is a pretty boy bum and matches up with nothing. You must have been kidding. It's Warner all the way or go home.

[sarcasm]Dude, he was a USC guy! Under-rated, if anything. Just wait and see how Carroll turns around that Seahawks team! Alabama is lucky they didn't play USC in a Bowl game this year![/sarcasm]
