Actually, it's based on their performance over the last couple weeks. . .and the fact that I can't stand the Chargers at all So, a little of both. But then, how many fans of football make rational choices when picking teams?

I should say, I think the Jets coach is right on--a solid running game and defense can win you some football games, even against the much ballyhooed Chargers, I think.

Cowboys/Chargers would be a nightmare scenario of a Superbowl to me. I don't know if I could even watch.

So your basing this on games the Chargers didnt need to win, and games the jets played against who had nothing to really gain by playing hard. Sure the Bungles made the Jets look good but the Chargers have way more weapons then the Bungles.

I reckon we'll see. Everyone's on the Chargers bandwagon right now, but then, everyone was on the Packers bandwagon before today, and everyone was on the Eagles bandwagon a couple weeks ago. Things can change in one game in the NFL, and it wouldn't surprise me a lick to see the Jets beat the Chargers. Jets looked mighty strong yesterday, but if you want to downplay the Bengals' ability, that might be fair. Hard to judge these weak AFC teams, IMO.

USC schmu-SC, have you watched this guy play since being in the NFL? He sucks balls. Most cardinal fans cringe when he has to be put in, which typically results in a big loss. I think I've seen him play one, maybe two good games while with the cards.

I dont know too much about football, but I do know that lineheart sucks and I laugh at some non-cardinal fan defending his crappy performance since getting drafted.

Don't let your blind hatred for the Cowboys cloud your objectivity in regards to rooting for the home team.

If you grew up in Minnesota then you know what it's like to suffer through 4 Super Bowl losses and numerous NFC Championship game losses. When expectations get high then we're always in for a let down.

Of course I'll be happy as hell if we win but I'm not expecting it. Still the same, I'll be gutted if we lose. I'd rather lose to any NFC team except the Cowboys.

Did you even read that i stated i was nervous?(do i know football? don't ____ing insult me man, i wouldn't be nervous at all if i didn't) Did you read that i said the Cowboys were playing good ball? And yes the Eagles i still say Handed them the games. They played ____ing horrible. One dimensional no running game,(EVEN WITH AP STRUGGLING IT'S BETTER THAN WHAT THEY SHOWED) bad coaching playing calling etc. IF YOU KNOW the Vikings at all, then you know we don't play like that and have not this year at our worst. Remember when you were scared of the EAGLES?

Comes down to it i just see a Vikings fan that is trying not to get his hopes up. (hey, i can't blame ya) But you think we should just bypass the game and give them the win since it's already in the bag eh?

Could we lose? SURE! Could we win SURE!

I just think it will be a close game, not the blowout that you seem to think that's inevitable. (so i will ask you? DO YOU KNOW FOOTBALL? Cause if you do, you know ANYTHING can happen especially with parody in the league these days.) If we lose i'll be gutted as well.

Yeah, I'm a HUGE Saints fan, and I'm not afraid to show it. Now they're the "underdog" of these playoffs. I hope that they stun everyone, and win the next three games.

Beat those little "redbirds", then the Cowboys or Vikings, and then the AFC opponent (whomever that will be??? the Jets, Colts, Ravens or Chargers) in the Super Bowl!

I dont know if you hate to admit things or what, or you just dont have any football knowledge or what but damm your posts crack me up sometimes. Sure anything can happen the NFL a darling team can lose 3 games straight w/ 2 to non playoff teams. But the Chargers have been hot since week 6 and have not lost. The Bengals turned back to bungles in that playoff game. Palmer who normally is a accurate passer couldnt hit the side of a barn and most had nothing to do w/ pressure he just missed receivers. SD has way more weapons on O and Reivs is not going to push around a guy 6" taller and 30+ lbs heavier like he did 85. I dont know any other team that in a 3 wide setup that can have 4 guys 6-4+ which creates match up issues all over the field. Your thought that the AFC is weak is still the funniest comment, especially considering that only 3 teams in NFC had winning record in non conference games where the AFC had 7 teams with winning records.

OK. Let's look at their opponents since week 6 then if win streaks are the end-all-be-all:

-Chiefs
-Raiders
-Giants
-Eagles
-Broncos
-Chiefs
-Browns
-Cowboys
-Bengals
-Titans
-Redskins

I count 3 playoff teams there, two of which were humiliated in Wild Card week, the 3rd (Cowboys) were playing the Chargers before they got "hot" at a time that people thought they couldn't win in December and wouldn't even get into the playoffs (even though it was a close game). Now, the Saints had similar types of competition during their run, but the point is, a wins streak doesn't mean much to me, because it is all about how you play this week, and I think the Jets look good, whereas I think the Chargers are similar to the Eagles a few weeks ago. Everyone jumps on their bandwagon because of impressive wins against sub-par opponents. They haven't shown many Chargers games here, but in the ones I've seen, I wasn't blown away. No one will dispute that your team has a very good (and very douchy) QB.

But how well can their defense handle a truly balanced offense like the Jets seem to have right now? What about playing a serious defense with an incentive to play well? I think the Jets can do it, and if you don't think they have a chance, well. . .it seems that you and everyone else are claiming (implicitly or otherwise) that the only teams worth a damn in your conference are the Chargers and Colts. You yourself give the Jets no chance, suggesting that you think they suck. Assuming the teams who got blown out in wildcard week weren't very good when it counted (Patriots and Bengals), and you have 3 good teams (Colts, Chargers, Ravens), how is that a good conference? Packers, Cardinals, Cowboys, Vikings, and Saints, are all (or were all in the case of the Packers) contenders in my opinion. If you want to run down the playoff teams in your own conference and then tell me that your conference is superior, well. . .then I don't quite get that, but OK.

(also, just as some friendly advice, name calling and insults are the mark of a weak or ill-conceived argument IMO, but by all means, vent at your frustrations of being the fan of an over-rated team in a crappy conference. We all need that sometimes )

I really hope the Cowboys don't make it to the Super Bowl. That would effect my job status.

The Cowboys is the only team that we don't have the license for, so we can't do any products for them.
If they win....I smell another layoff wave coming.

The best teams to win for us are either the Colts or the Vikings.

I'm still rooting for the Saints...even tho they lost to my home team of Tampa Bay
