Since when is the New York Post the official record keepers of the NFL?

I guess the Steelers are also tarnished for 1978 and Chuck Noll is a cheater too. Start throwing up asterisks everywhere. Those 49er and Bronco SB titles tarnished for cheating the salary cap.

They were proven cheaters. The Steelers were accused by teams they steam rolled en route to Super Bowl wins. And I don't recall anyone but the Pats having proven unfair advantages against play off opponents.

It sucks that Tebow seems to be stereotyped similar to the way Doug Flutie used to be. But if you can compete and win, then you can play. Who gives a ____ how big you are, what your throwing motion is like, etc.?

Ya I have no idea why it took so long to get him in there, Orton is garbage

Disproven? Really where was it ever proved he didnt do it? All I remember was that suddenly she no longer wanted to testify, wonder how much she got to change her mind.

Patriots fined $500,000 and docked a 1st round draft pick= proven cheaters, Roethlisberger only ever accussed and neither accusation even seeing actual charges brought up= disproven. I think even grade schoolers can comprehend that faction of the legal system. Oh but accusations are solid if it's against someone you don't like. That damn Kobe Bryant!

Huh? I'm not sure what you mean here. The 1978 Steelers did cheat and their coach tried to play it off as nothing.

Even funnier is that the team president Dan Rooney was instrumental in putting in the rule that team broke. The Steelers cheated and lost a draft pick. There, it's fun when it's the other team.:lol

The thing I don't understand is that Tebow beat Cam Newton out head to head at Florida. He put up better stats then Cam in college. Minus mechanics and being a criminal they both had the same knocks against them coming out. Now all of a sudden Cam and his horrible accuracy can be over looked but Tebow and his issues cant? If all Cam does is win games when is that going to start? Tebow had a better record in his first three games as a rookie then Cam does. I say give the kid a shot.

I can't explain the Newton thing. Freakin' Jamarcus Russell showed next to nothing in college apart from being a big guy that was tough to take down and who was on a stacked team that won despite him, and he went #1 and started very quickly despite showing no real skills at the pro level. Tebow has that skill plus a will to win, a real ability to throw, and the ability to run with the ball :dunno

Looks like my boy Tebow is going to make it hard for Fox to give Orton back his job after the bye week.

We are not going anywhere this year, so why not just give him the keys to the team. That way he can get some stuff on tape heading into next year and the draft.

Really? This is your comeback? You bring up rules that favored teams in the progress of winning a championship?

Yeah, as much as I hate to admit it, the Pats should have been sitting at home watching the Raiders get a 4th Super Bowl win.

Talking about BS rules helping a team win a championship. What a joke!!

Sometimes you just know, looking at a guy, that he's a rapist. :lol

Just watch FOX News or MSNBC or something, and you'll see rooms full of rapists getting away with it. Those politicians screw unwilling participants on a daily basis and nothing is EVER done about it!!!

Are you are fellow Broncos fan?

Your contention is "Patriots fined $500,000 and docked a 1st round draft pick= proven cheaters". Following that thought shouldn't the Steelers also be deemed "proven cheaters"?

Wow, bringing up the tuck rule again. If it was so terrible and such an injustice, why is it still in the rule books today?

The BS rule didn't win them the championship. The Raiders could have stopped them in regulation and OT. Your Steelers could have shown up and played to their ability the following week, but I'll give them a pass. It was a Kordell Stewart led team. The Rams had their shot and failed too.

Phillip Rivers has a funky throwing motion but nobody says he needs to work on it

During the packers game when the score was obvious that packers would win I thought tebow should start the rest of the season to see what we have in him and see if we really need to draft a qb. No point in wasting a pick if tebow can win us games and keeps us competitive

No, it's out of the rule book now, because it's such a BS rule. And that game shoulda been over there, but the officials helped them there like they always do. And the Steelers supposed cheating in '78- what unfair advantage did they have? Having your opponents offensive and defensive calls and audibles is the biggest disadvantage a team can have over another, minus just having more players on the field than them. The '00 decade Pats are the biggest ???? championship team in League history.

Sorry, but you are wrong. It still exists and has come up in a few games this season already.

NFL Rule 3, Section 22, Article 2, Note 2: "When a Team A player is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his hand starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. Also, if the player has tucked the ball into his body and then loses possession, it is a fumble."

As for 1978 and Shouldergate here's wiki for you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1978_Pittsburgh_Steelers_season

As for the rest it seems like rambling that would be welcome at steelernation boards. If you really think they had the answers to everything and that's only reason why they won I feel bad for you.

My bad, they talked about undoing it last year, but never pulled the trigger. Find one person other than a Pats fan who says it's a fair rule, though.

What have the Pats done since "spygate"? Won 2 play off games and lost the Super Bowl as the only 18-0 team in League history, and then got spanked in 2 separate 1 and out play off appearances. Yeah, those tapes didn't help them. I guess you're anti-conspiracy bologna flies on websites dedicated to them maybe having won without being big fat cheaters.

Steroids is cheating, and 90% of players probably juice. I've seen respected players say that they push the rules as far as they will go in order to get as much of an advantage over their opponents as possible. Where do you draw the line of what is acceptable "cheating" and what isn't? :dunno
