Some of those throw back uniforms should be never let out again. The ones packers wore this year , the broncos with the striped socks, the jets(titans) ones are some of the most offensive ones.

I like memories of the 85 Patriots making a playoff run to reach the Super Bowl led by Steve Grogan. Or was it Tony Eason?

Didn't the Pats have some decent teams in the late 70s?

Tony Eason was the starter for most of that year. He stayed in the Super Bowl to have one of the all-time worst performances. I don't blame him though. No one was going to beat the '85 Bears.

Yes, they had a few memorable teams in the '70s. '76 was the team done in by the phantom roughing the passer call against the Raiders in the playoffs. '78 was probably even a better team that had the Chuck Fairbanks fiasco go down right before the playoffs and they were one and done.

No, the Eagles 75th anniversary throw-backs were the most hideous things to ever grace the League. And I'll actually go with the Pats for the best looking throw-backs.

I still think the power blue chargers is best throwback.

Agreed on all counts, especially the Packers. :horror

Yes, I remember the '76 phantom call game. I watched it on some special chronicling the 70s Patriots on the NFL Network.

There are 3 moments in Patriots history that comes to mind...

1. '85 Super Bowl run

2. Some snow game in New England (1982) where the snow plow dude cleared a path for a winning FG kick. Pats won 3-0. :lol

3. The tragic incident where Darryl Stingley was paralyzed by the Raiders Jack Tatum in 1978. :(

Don Shula still hasn't let that one go.:lol

The Stingley incident still hurts for long time Pats fans. He had a bright future ahead of him cut down so quickly.:(

Damnit! How can Gronkowski make more points for my fantasy team if they are going to run punts back for touchdowns?

It could be worse. You could have Wes Welker who hasn't even been thrown to yet.

Tru dat!

G-Ski already has my game won by like 17 points. I was down 4.5 points with him being the last to play on either team in my game. And he has almost twenty-two points already.

Aweful.... Monday night games stink. That's where NBC really has an advantage with the Sunday night slot. They're able to rotate in the best game, or best game viewer wise, of the week.

I agree, but I guess it's more difficult to ask teams to switch the days that they were originally scheduled to play than the time in the day that they play. How much of a burden should teams have to take on to give fans enjoyable experiences on Monday nights?. . .you're right, as much as it takes :1-1:

I remember all those years when the Saints would only get, like, one primetime game per season, because they stunk so bad and no one wanted to watch them play. Ah, memories.

There were some stinker Sunday night games.

Even worse you have to listen to chris collinsworth.

Monday night games against the Saints were wonderful. The NFL would bring the sheeps to the slaughter on prime time even back then... :lol :wink1:
