I'd also like to congratulate the Minnesota Vikings for having tied their worst record in team history. (3-13, 1984)

Thank you for sucking the life out of my NFL season.

They will be getting a new defensive coordinator. I hope they finally hire a GM to evaluate this organization from top to bottom.

I think Freeman went through the sophmore slump and the team wasn't strong enough around him to pick up the pieces. Things started unraveling for them when they fell behind in the division and it's like they just quit for the remainder of the year.

Didn't Cowher want to coach in a tropical area? The pieces are obviously there for a good team after going 10-6.

NFC South is going to be a _____ if Tampa rights their ship and with Carolina coming back around.

If you're a sports fan like me and the NFL is your favorite league, then the upcoming two weekends is as good as it gets. It truly is the best two weeks in sports.

8 games in 4 days! :thud: :thud: :thud:

It wasn't JUST losing 10 games in a row... it was getting blown out in 9 of them with some by teams who should have been worse than the Bucs. Raheem lost the team and they weren't playing hard for him anymore and when that happens you have to go. Last season everything went right for them (they should have been more like 6-10) so its not like Raheem did all that well.

:yess: Saints are pretty much unstoppable. Falcons are always solid. Panthers will be a force next season . So all we need is the Bucs to get with it.

NFC South best division in 2012. :rock

By the time the Bucs and Panthers get good, the Saints and Falcons will be wallowing in mediocrity again. That's the circle of life in the NFC South.

Oh really? Coach Sean Payton signed a 5 year/season extension on his contract this year. I fully expect Drew Brees to get the BIG deal money he really deserves when contract talks with him and his agent continue in the off season. None of our other players have shown any interest in leaving any time soon. They gel together so well, and work great as a team on the field. On both sides of the ball. I don't see anything changing for at least the next five seasons with Coach Payton at the helm. Mediocrity? No. Not anytime soon. The Saints have had some of their best winning seasons under Sean Payton since he got here in 2006. They made it to the N.F.C. Championship that first season Payton was coach in 2006. Yeah, the Bears beat them in Chicago. But the Saints made it to that game.

PLEASE......JUST......STOP! :thud:

No...I'm not. I don't have to keep explaining myself to you. I support my team, and I am going to continue to talk about them here in this N.F.L. thread. They're a successful team, and I am proud to talk about them here. I have as much a right to talk about the Saints as you do about the Vikings.

Polians out with Colts.

From Espn.com.....

"Colts vice chairman Bill Polian and general manager Chris Polian are out in Indianapolis."

Whoa. I haven't been following the situation there very closely, but that surprises me a bit. I guess the fans/ownership wanted a team that was awesome without Manning, but to do that would mean taking something away from what made them great with him. Personally, I don't think those guys deserved to get dumped.

Well I never said the Bucs and Panthers would succeed next year. But beyond that, nothing lasts forever. Saints could be a .500 team or worst next year just like they were in the 07 and 08 seasons. Things have to gel just right for a team to really succeed in the NFL, and any number of factors could change that in the near future. This sort of ties into the Polian issue, because those guys and Manning (largely) were able to string together consistent greatness in the regular season in a way that is really unheard of. The Saints have never had that in the past and I don't suspect that they are gonna have that moving forward.

Brees gets injured... the Saints are done. It can happen. I admire your devotion but even you can't say with 100% confidence that this team will dominate for 5 more years.

what are they gonna do when people want more money than the team can spend? lol

Firing Bill Polian and Chris was harsh, but maybe a good move, but come on Irsay , you need to can Caldwell!, C'mon Indy he's no Dungy!:slap
It seems since that ahole Mora with his bad attitude was the coach, the colts seem to like to hire doormats for head coaches in Indy with the exception to the great Dungy.
