Losing in the wildcard. No excuse for that. The Saints scored just fine. It was their defense that didn't show up. . .at all. Even putting aside the crap defensive play-calling, they couldn't tackle for ____.

Like I said, No running game to take time off the clock and add more points, so the defense wasn't so pressured to stop the other team's offense.

But now with the three headed running attack of Sproles, Thomas and Ivory they can manage the clock better. And you're forgetting the 6 touchdowns that a backup qb in Flynn, scorched that defense of the lions.

Saints will advance and be fine.

And who does Denver have? Afterall, they're in the playoffs too.

You did leave a few off the list:

Bengals have Greene, Texans have Johnson, Ravens have Smith, Lions have Johnson, 49ers have Crabtree, Packers have more than a handful.

I'm aware of the other teams and their receivers, I was just making a point. No favoritism guys.

The Saints were down to only one running back when it came to their wildcard playoff game against Seattle. Chris Ivory. After being injured most of the season he came back strong against the Panthers, rushing for over 100 yards. The Saints just confirmed that running back Mark Ingram is out for the playoffs with the "turf toe" he's had now for about a month. He'll undergo surgery for it soon. So my Saints will still have that three-headed monster of running backs for the playoffs. Peirre Thomas, Darren Sproles, and Chris Ivory. The Saints defense is much improved since the playoff disaster in Seattle. They'll be fine too, and do a great job.

I agree with you again guyver1. They'll be fine, and beat the Lions this Saturday night! Matt Flynn is well known down here as one of the better quarterbacks with L.S.U. in the past 10 years or so. The Saints will watch the game tape, and be ready for him, and the rest of the Packers. :) I will show favoritism. I think by now everyone knows that I do...for the Saints.

Yeah, I agree. Chris Ivory is more of a power runner than Ingram. At least right now. He just pushes hard, and runs over guys. :)

I met him in person last year. He's a big dude! Not that tall. I'm about 6'0", and he's a few inches shorter than me. But just a huge guy. I wouldn't want him running at me full speed! :horror

Why in the world would the Saints be watching game tape on Flynn and preparing for him?

3!

Just 3 days until the playoffs start! :yess:

Although this weekend's games will serve as the appetizer for the division round games, they will still be great.

So what's your one best game of this weekend?

Mine is Atlanta at NY Giants. :horror

I wish the Eagles coaching staff would punish the players by making them stay at their training facilities through the Superbowl. On gamedays they would all be forced to watch each game, and on all other days forced to watch them over and over. Maybe then they will see what it takes to play hard every game and watch teams that actually give a ____.

:lol

My August prediction on this this thread for the NFC Championship game was Green Bay and Philadelphia. :horror

I really thought the Eagles would make it. :dunno

I had a feeling they would either be great or due to too much change be horrible.

At the end of the day the players underachieved and they know it. When you lose 5 or 6 games being up in the fourth that's a problem. When you play weak ass teams like Buffalo and get destroyed that's a problem. To little to late.

So what's the Philly fanbase saying about Andy Reid's return? Angry or okay with it?

56% disagree with his return and 44% agree with it.

Me personally? I'm with the minority and believe he should have 1 more year at it. They made way to many changes at the wrong time (considering the lockout) and it made the first half of the season a mess.

I honestly believe next year they will be ready. We will see. They need a couple GOOD linebackers and if they get rid of Jackson I hope they have someone good they plan on going after to replace him.

Yep, he deserves another year.

The Vikings would be lucky to have your problems. :(

:lol He was a mad man... Hell, I used to laugh just seeing him on the sideline, yelling and walking around.

The best part about that clip is at the very end when he puts his head down and says, "_____*ers" and walks off. :rotfl

Hey earlier in this thread you posted how it felt when your 49ers lost to the Giants in the '90 championship game.

Do you remember the '87 division playoff game when the Vikings came into Candlestick and whipped your team 36-24? That was a 36-10 beat down before you scored two 4th qtr garbage TDs. Montana was pulled for Steve young too.

A truly glorious day in Vikings history. :yess:

We beat the Saints 44-10 in Wild Card game too.

Err, we lost to the Redskins in the next game but we won't talk about that. :lol
