Would not surprise me in the least bit if the Saints lose. My exuberance of 2 years ago was brought back to the harsh reality of what it is usually like to be a Saints fan in last year's Seattle game :lol

Still, I pick:

Houston over Cincy (I think they'll win with their defense despite the QB. . .so there)
New Orleans over Detroit
Falcons over Giants (Giants more likely to decide not to show up mentally, and I think folks are ignoring that the Falcons have looked pretty good down the stretch, Saints game aside)
Steelers over the Broncos easily, even if Batch starts, which I very strongly doubt that he will.

Are you talking about the saints losing in the WC or the path to the NFC championship.

Don't feel bad about the Seattle game
1. Saints had no, and I mean no running game!
2. They went against Carroll...Um I think he knows something about defenses and having a running game.

Now don't worry about the WC, Brees will make it through, however you better worry about the G man stopping the Saints from facing the Packers in the NFC Championships, because of two words: Eli MANNING!:slap

Denver has a great defense? Seriously? Have you watched football the past 3 weeks? That "great" defense got handled by Brady and then tore apart by the Bills. Granted, 2 pick sixes aided that, but still, 40+ points? And don't forget Tebow's 2nd start against Detroit. Destroyed. Yeah, that "great" defense kept non-play off teams in check, and that's about it.

Yeah, even if the Steelers started Batch, they should win. Tebow should get assaulted by the Steelers defense, ya know, the truly great one.

My picks;

Houston (don't forget, Yates did beat them at their own house already)
Giants (their one good game for the play offs, but drop it next game)
Saints (Stafford cant win a shoot-out with Brees in his own house)
Steelers (might be my homer pick, but even with a Batch start they're far superior on paper)

So.... Mike Tice, Jerry Burns and Les Steckel. You gotta marry one, kill one and ____ one. GO!

LMAO....:lol:rotfl:rotfl:lol

You've presented some wonderful choices.

Which reminds me, this is the most famous, expletive laced, post game conference in Minnesota sports history....check out the 0:26 and 4:15 mark.

Being a Carolina fan all I can do is laugh at that statement. :rotfl

My Picks

Cincy: second favorite team.
NO: they're unstoppable.
ATL or NY: like them both, so I don't care.
Steelers: ____ Tebow and John Fox.

I'm telling you man, now that your team has SUPERCAM! all you need to do is draft some defensive studs and a couple of more quality receivers and your on your way to a great season next year, maybe to a division title, if you can get past the saints.

Wow once again Ryan Clark is going to miss a game in Denver, because of his disease. Feel sorry for the guy:(

:exactly::exactly:

But I don't think receivers will be a problem next season. Steve Smith will be around for at least 5 more years, and he a beast. Lafell really stepped up after Naanee got injured. So when Naanee and Lafell get even more experience through camp and preseason they'll be golden.

I'm with you for those two, but what happens when smith gets injured again, I don't have to tell you, you know. You still need some speedy receivers.

Giants have Cruz, Steelers have Wallace, Falcons have Jones, Pats have welker and the saints, well have everybody. What's the relation, oh yeah, I believe all these teams are in the playoffs if you get my point. :wink1:

And who does Denver have? Afterall, they're in the playoffs too.

You did leave a few off the list:

Bengals have Greene, Texans have Johnson, Ravens have Smith, Lions have Johnson, 49ers have Crabtree, Packers have more than a handful.

Losing in the wildcard. No excuse for that. The Saints scored just fine. It was their defense that didn't show up. . .at all. Even putting aside the crap defensive play-calling, they couldn't tackle for ____.

Like I said, No running game to take time off the clock and add more points, so the defense wasn't so pressured to stop the other team's offense.

But now with the three headed running attack of Sproles, Thomas and Ivory they can manage the clock better. And you're forgetting the 6 touchdowns that a backup qb in Flynn, scorched that defense of the lions.

Saints will advance and be fine. But if the giants get far, then the trio of saints running backs got to worry about Tuck, Rolle and that rushing machine J.P.P. :slap
