I said it yesterday and I'll say it again, they need to take a page from the NHL when it comes to reviews. Goal reviews go back to the league offices in Toronto where a decision is quickly made and relayed back to arenas.

This makes more sense than sending 60 something year old weekend warriors under a hood.

Even the NCAA way would be better. His only job is get it right. Unlike the Refs who may try to protect their ego when they blew a call on the field.

That's really the only bad thing about Tebow the rest of the hate he gets is pretty stupid.

I don't see how it's stupid. I couldn't care less about his personal life. When you can only complete single digits worth of passes per game I would say critics have right to hate.

Hopefully he goes away next year. I wish Brady was able to get in the 60's on Saturday. One of the announcers said it best. He said something if you don't think Brady is not a little miffed by all the Tebow coverage this week and he really got none think again. He will show them what an NFL QB can do.

I don't dislike Tebow the person. I dislike Tebow the player and all of the time the media spends covering this nonesense.

It's human nature. You've gotta be affected on some level when you know that you've done (and are doing) so much more than this other guy but are being ignored/overlooked because of his story/baggage/etc. He may not come out and say anything about it, but I bet it does bug him.

But if he's smart(and i think he is) he would know they will always have their new boy to talk about. Their new flavor of the month, their next hot topic.. And not care. He knows who the real man is, and it's him, and he showed them. I agree about the competitiveness, but i think he knows about the current state of the media. These analysts and media especially in this day and age have taken it to a whole new level of ADD.

(at least the Rodgers stuff should quite now lol)

Because hating him for his personal life is really dumb. Especially since he's no gang banger, drug dealer, or just general POS. He gets hate because of his faith. Like that's something he should be ashamed of. That's what I'm talking about the hate he gets is dumb. The crap he catches for his play on the field is fair game. You can still cross a line with that but you've gotta go pretty far to do it.

Again I couldn't care less about his faith. I think the hate he gets in regards to that should be aimed at the religious extremists that claim he wins because of God. Unfortunately the hate toward him is misguided and should be directed at the weirdos that actually think God helps him win games.

That's fine. There are people though that hate the guy because he talks about his faith openly like that's a bad thing. Again, that's what I'm talking about when I say the hate the guy gets is stupid. God has given the man the talent to play football its his job to work with the talent and do something with it. God isn't helping him win games because I personally think God has a bit more on his plate than the Denver Broncos. If he plays bad he should be talked about as respectfully as anyone would talk about Brees, either Manning, Brady, Rodgers, etc.

You said it. Personally if God exists I would like to believe something as trivial as a football game isn't on his agenda.

Tom Brady summed it up nicely a few years ago.

"Look at the attention I get: It’s because I throw a football. But that’s what society values. That’s not what God values. God could give a ____ as far as I’m concerned. He didn’t invent the game. We did. I have some eye-hand coordination, and I can throw the ball. I don’t think that matters to God."

-Tom Brady August 2008

I don't think Tebow believes that, though. Nor do many other Christians. They think Tebow is helping to spread God's message through his fame and success in football. Same thing with all the attention Tebow is getting in general. I heard on the Dan Patrick show today that Tebow said he doesn't care much for all the attention, but accepts it because it helps him to promote his message.

I'm sure off the football field he's a fine human being, but on the field...he's terrible. I think people are confusing the two

Being a devout Christian myself, karamazov80, I agree with what you're saying. I think that Tim Tebow is not ashamed to show that he often prays to God, in public. I believe that he is respectfully promoting his faith in God. The "tebowing" thing has caught on. Even if some people don't even believe in God, or even kneel and pretend to be praying. I am glad to hear that John Elway is now saying that Tebow will be their starting quarterback next season. Sure his numbers are not astounding like Drew Brees, Tom Brady, or Aaron Rodgers. But he's the best prospect that the Broncos have had in a while at quarterback.
