I had read where Mara, as well as several other owners, want kick-offs done away with all together. So in other words, they want the "foot" taken out of football.

If true, then I agree with you. I feel little sympathy for any of these guys across the board.
Just watching OTL, the NFL is saying that none of the players meet with the NFL. One player submitted a written statement. Vilma had asked to meet but when NFL tried to schedule a meeting Vilma's lawyer said they no longer would meet with the NFL.

Everything I've seen says the players were asked on several occasions to meet with the NFL and they all pleaded the 5th wanting to wait and see how things came down.

Joseph Addai signed with the Pats. I think the Patriots are going to be the team to beat in the AFC this coming season. They're stacking their roster right now and after they cut down to their final regular season roster, they're going to be STACKED! They just need to work on their defensive fundamentals. That was what killed them in that Super Bowl loss.

I'll still put this last SB loss and the one before it on the offense. One offense was historic and the other was pretty damn good and only managed 14 and 17 points respectively nowhere near their potentials.

It's hard to not get excited about next season's team right now (especially with the Bruins out and Sox being terrible). July 25 training camp begins. Can't wait.:impatient:

I'm with ya, Gren. After the Steelers laying an egg at Denver, and the Pens getting their rear ends kicked, I'm ready for September!

Baseball sucks.

I guess 20 years of Pirates baseball will do that to you. :lol

Nah, I just don't care for the game. But irregardless, the Pirates aren't a very big market even around where I live. There's way more Philly and Yank-me fans than Buccs fans around here. Kinda like when the Pens were in the dumps. But even through the Steelers rough stages, the fan base is still very strong. But, no matter how they play, the fans are vicious with them! Bunch of people I can't believe the Rooneys didn't look at after Cowher retired.

People also either love or hate the Steelers. After they lost SB XLV I went to the mall and thought I was in Wisconsin! I saw so many Rodgers and Matthews jerseys it made me sick! I went to Applebee's and had a waiter who looked just like Aaron Rodgers, and I told him he wasn't getting a tip.

Yank-me :lol

It's too bad because that park is considered to be the most beautiful in baseball by most experts.

I guess it doesn't matter when ownership hasn't put a winning product on the field for two decades.

Yes, PNC Park is a marvelous stadium. You walk right past it on your way to Heinz Field.

:lol:lol

But it actually is a really nice park. I just have no interest to hook a left to go to it vs going to Heinz Field to watch the Steelers.

Vikes got their stadium!!!

I will be there opening day.

The bill gives the Vikings the option to upgrade to a retractable roof, but at their expense. Bagley said the Vikings haven't decided if they'll make that enhancement.
