I guess it could temporarily be an AHL thread.

Locally there has been talk that the Portland Pirates may move to Albany to replace the River Rats. It'd be sad to see the Pirates go, but they've had problems with attendance and keeping an affiliate. They've switched from Washington to Anaheim to Buffalo in the past few years.

Some think that Pirates' ownership is just trying to strong-arm the city into renovating the Civic Center with these threats. I know it definitely needs it, but these are Mainers(read:cheap) so I'm not sure about the team's future.

I see this being the Mariners all over again. A city without a team.:(

The worst part is some of the games are during the day or really late at night so I miss them, and I hate watching replys, live or fail

When Mario scored the winning goal in the 87 canada cup he came into his own and broke out of Wayne's shadow. I'm curious to see if Crosby's game gets elevated from scoring the deciding goal too.

Being a pens fan rooting for the US, it was definitely a bittersweet moment. If we get another cup though, it will be worth it.

I dont know, is there much more he can do? I think he leads the league in goals, and he has brought his team to back to back finals, winning once. Id like to see Malkin play better for the remainder of the season.

Malkin was on fire for our Pens prior to the Olympics.
