I can't make fun of Theodore anymore after he lost his son not that long ago.

Kidding aside it is quite inspirational what he's done this year after that happening just before the season began.
I'm hoping this is recognized and that he at the very least wins the Masterton.

I hope Crosby wins the Rocket and Henrik Sedin wins the Art Ross. However, I have a sinking feeling that Ovi will get both. Not because he's better, but because the team around him is super talented. Don't get me wrong, he has a ton of talent as well, but Crosby has ____ around him. Malkin on the PP, if he's there has been useless this season and our wingers blow. Crosby has singlehandedly been a one man show on that line. All others have been dead weights. For once I hope the Pens get a winger or two that can actually compliment our superstar centermen.
That would come with the cost of losing Gonchar, personally hes great on the PP but 5 on 5 not so much

He'll be 36 this year and like you said he's not the best 5 on 5 although he's still one of the better rush style dmen in the game. He isn't that competent in his own end, and we have Depres coming up. I like the upside on this kid's game, and with Letangs and Gogs, I feel confident with proper wingers we'll be a better team -Gonch.
Or simply trade J. Staal for a proper winger that would compliment our centermen vs. being placeholders.
No offence to our wingers, but they are dead weight.
Gogo had a decent game last night, but he's been pretty bad since the olympic break. If they let Gonch walk they will need to come up with a different PP attack and have either crosby or malkin quarterback it. Gogo and tanger are not close to the level of gonchar with the puck.
BTW - You don't trade staal. Geurin and feds will be gone after this season or better be. Right there is 4 million for a winger. I would consider trying to find a trade for Kunitz if anyone would be willing. He plays a good hard edge game but not worth his 3.75 cap hit. Between those 3 is 8 million tied up or close to it. There's always tryouts from WB as well.
