As for proving he doesn't "suck", I can prove that by by the simple fact that the other players in the NHL have voted him as the leagues BEST player before....twice I think. When your peers acknowledge your greatness then you do NOT "suck" .

I don't even need to point out all his stats both regular and post season or all the other hardware he's won. Not winning a cup yet does not mean you "suck" and saying he does is beyond moronic.

I mean seriously, you may not like him, but to say he sucks is retarded.

They did a tribute to the RCAF for the Manitoba Moose in 2008 as well. I bought the Michael Grabner jersey he wore for that game.

I met him and would see him play a lot in person as a Moose sth. Very sad. One of my favorites. Will be dearly missed.

This is really bad news and sad if he can't get back into the game. At his age and his talent, it just sucks. I fracking hate Pitt. However, wouldn't wish this on any player. Not even Avery.

Sucks because it made for a great rivalry, Crosby and Ovechkin, even if it was forcefully concocted by the media and the NHL.

I really hope he isn't the next Eric Lindros. Then he'll play safe from outside the perimeter, taking a whack of points off, he would otherwise gotten in the high traffic areas. In the end, that was how Eric extended his career and his contract. He played very safe. Too safe, that it took away from his game and his overall production. Just so he could collect a paycheck. Be a name out there. If that is the case, perhaps it's in my favorite player's best interest to hang them up.
