the only thing i remember about Lindros is that his mommy didn't want him to play in Canada so he started crying when he got drafted by Quebec. everything else about his career was forgetable.

I'm a bit of a prejudiced--ignorant ass**** when it comes to French Canadians. I think that, living in South Florida, I have been tainted by the worst of the worst Quebec has to offer.
They're rude, snobby, terrible drivers, and usually just straight up *****.
I make that comment about 100% of the Quebec snowbirds I've met.
I also make that comment knowing I'm a jack-off and a piece of crap. But I know where I stand.
Have plenty of Canadian friends. PLENTY. Some of my best friends are Canadian.
But Quebec...I dunno. Maybe one day, I'll grow out of it.

Either way, my dislike for Cindy has to do with his cheap shot against the Panthers. He's a *****, in my book. No more, no less.

It is very sad, but life goes on, the fact that they were hockey players is irrelevant.
If you think Lindros is better hockey player than Crosby, you need to see one of his concussion specialists.
Sidney Crosby is very physical. Do not kid yourself. After Eric Lindros got his major concussion from Scott Stevens he played safe and outside along the perimeter because he knew by playing in the high traffic areas he was good as done. His game changed to a more safe, and thus less physical one as a result. Lost a lot of production playing on the perimeter. If you followed hockey around that time you would know that there are definitely flaws to your argument. Pre-concussion Lindros was a monster. That I agree with.
Crosby takes on a lot abuse and is hard to beat off the puck with his solid lower body... it's solid muscle. That kid plays a different physical game.
So get off of it... he's the best hockey player in the world right now.

Like I said, if you think Cindy Crysby is anywhere in the realm of being as physical a player as Lindros was than you're clueless.
I don't care if Lindros kicked puppies off the ice and if Cindy can perform miracles and make blind children see again.
Skid is a baby, always has been & always will be. It's a damn shame that he's the face of the sport now - which already has enough trouble competing against other major sports b/c he dives, cries and whines at the zebras day in and day out for calls and if you aren't a Pens fan you can't help but hate his guts.
