On a more positive note, what do you think of that Calgary goalie? Awesome and refreshing to see someone enjoy the game so much....

This is stuff we need to see more often than not. Also, how awesome is Rene Bourque? 5 goals and 6 points in his last two games and there is still a period to go! 1 PPG, 1 SHG, and two potential game winners just to add to those crazy numbers!

yeah i was hoping Bourque would get another hat-trick tonight since he got 2 goals in the first period. didn't happen though.

oh, and i'm all for goaltenders celebrating and getting into the game. that's awesome.

So what do you guys think is behind Ilya's healthy scratch?
Did he arrive late for a practice? Miss the team plane?
Was he still hung over from a previous night's boozing?

Johnny Boychuk is going to be out for a month. Stupid Dubinsky. The B's had been limiting Andrew Ference's time nicely, then this happens. The defense was thin to begin with and this will really expose it.

The cap issues coming up next month will be fun to see how Chiarelli deals with it. I'd suspect Ryder will be dangled hard. Maybe there's even a market for him since he's looked much more motivated thus far. I also wonder in there's any interest in Sturm out there. I'm guessing not very big for a guy coming off LTIR, and then the fact that he has one of Uncle Peter's NMC in his contract.:ohbfrank:

And, just like that, Montreal is in first place.
So much for the Pens, Leafs, Flyers, and Bruins.

:D

P.S. Will someone please remind Gionta and Gomie that the season begun a few weeks ago??

Pffft...Pens are still at the top of their division. i'm not worried. you'll see 'em in May.;)

Gotta agree with you on both accounts, the ducks logo was so ____in classic and leave it to Ohio to ____ up a nice logo.:lol

I miss the old Ducks...I don't even like them anymore their colors and logo are ugly. As for the Blue Jackets growing up in Ohio we never had a hockey team and I hate all Pittsburgh teams...and they never came around until later. I always followed the Avalanche and Coyotes growing up...and I hate the Coyotes newer logo too. There old one was very set in that style of almost Mexican/American art from the west. Now it's just cliche.

i actually prefer the new Jackets logo over the old. i thought the old one was butt ugly. the one with the hockey stick and the red stripe making "C B".:monkey1 the Stinger logo was pretty cool however; bee dressed like a Union soldier.

It looks like it's time for Burke to make a dumb trade.
How many games before the Leafs rank outside the top 8?
Another two?

:D
