I don't feel bad for Kessel after he got the free car and 20,000 to a charity of his choice. Talk about the NHL taking care of their own in that regard. I bet some of the other guys wished they came last. lol

Then again, with their salaries maybe not. Also, he wasn't the only one who was hearing impaired. Also, many felt he would go last. He went last in my mock draft that me and my buddy did. lol

poor Kessel. but it was funny that Ovechkin was taking his picture while he sat there by himself.:lol

Ovie should be more careful with his negative karma. He says and does silly things which appear to burn him in the end. Let's not forget what he said about Halak being all shaky and scared in net against the Caps during the playoffs. Next thing you know, the Habs win three straight and knock off the Caps in the first round.

That is one nice lookin avatar man.:duff

I didn't watch the skills and I won't watch the All-Star game. Usually this game doesn't mean a lot to many of them. To some, yes. To others, not so much. The physicality of the games are usually a 0.5 out of 10 on the decimeter. When David Backes joked about cleaning some guy's clock, or hitting them, I was like... puuulease! I do remember, was it Eric Daze who took a hit on someone in a game years ago... I forget. Either way, it's not that highly competitive and I find that lots of the time the A-S games have no structure to them. I can't wait until the NHL resumes its regular play on Tuesday. :)

I did love the Draft, so maybe that makes things interesting for the players and changes things enough. We'll see, maybe I'll watch the first period. Then go from there.

This break has felt like an eternity. 7 tomorrow night can't come fast enough.:impatient:

No Kidding, no Habs hockey to bash is killing me :)

Anyone see that poll the players took? Ron wilson essentially worst coach, yet Burke keeps this tool around

Wilson has over 600 wins as a coach, doesn't he?
That's in the top ten all time (number 7, I think, if memory serves).
That's quite the accomplishment.

It hasn't translated into post-season success though. He's only coached one team that made the SCF ('98 Caps), and one other to a CF appearance.

I don't know if anyone could make something of the mess in Toronto, but he certainly doesn't seem to be helping that much.

Helps when you have talent, same for Jacques Martin, these guys have had been blessed with good teams, now look at them? Mediocre teams, mediocre results

Fire Ron Wilson, hes a bum

ugggh...they unvieled the new Lightning jerseys. they suck. there was nothing wrong with the originals. they are just Maple Leaf rip-offs now.

Pens beat the rags tonight without 3 of their 4 starting centers. Staal was the lone starting center and he got kicked out of the game in the 2nd period. (Nice dive by Prust .) Anyway - during the game Asham left with an injury and didn't return. Not too shabby of a game by our role players. Flower was solid in the shootout.

Prust should get suspended for embarrassing the game, solid win last night though, they looked gassed at the end, going to be tough tonight against the Isles if Gino doesnt play again
