I rarely agree with Mike Milbury, but a couple of quotes from a radio interview this week I agreed with completely concerning the Devils.
“I don’t know that they’re going to make it, but I sure hope they do,”“I hope they make it and get knocked out in the first round, because they’re still boring as hell.”

The Caps decided to go defensive this year.
The axe will fall after the playoffs.

don't the Pens have a 5th or 6th string goaltender somewhere down in the minors they can call up to take Fleury's spot? or at least show him how to close up the 5 hole. he should have been traded months ago.

He didn't have a great game against Toronto, but I would say he is far from playing bad. He's one of the main reason's they have been competitive in the games they lost recently. You can only ask so much of a goalie when your team has barely been scoring. Of course its a bi product of all the injuries, but aside from last game I think he's been doing good.

Uneventful trade deadline day... Meh.
Any bets on how long before Lapierre and Higgins no longer play n the NHL? All this to say Lappy must be the biggest moron on the planet for requesting a trade.
He had it all in Montreal; the fans, the endorsements, the hero worship, and the language. While it was all unearned, he still had it. Now he's just a subpar and forgettable player who'll get 5 minutes of ice time. What a bumblehead.

Isnt that every trade dead line day for the Habs?? Guess they are hoping for lightning to strike twice this year, wont happen.
Anyone ever check Hockey buzz? Does this Eklund loser ever get a trade right?
I stopped going to hockeybuzz years ago. The guy is a total tool. I swear he literally puts names on a dartboard and hopes for the best. I think years ago he had a couple inside sources, but his site is total BS anymore.

I fear the Bruins of any team in the East to threaten Philly. Way more so than Tampa. It will be an interesting play off

WHAT?! Marc-Andre Fleury has one real mediocre game where his defence wasn't exactly there for him. This happens after a few strong games in which he kept his team in those contests. The Flower has been in the top 3 among all goaltenders in wins, and was at one point in the top 7 in both GAA and save percentage. He has a save percentage at around .920, which would be around .930 if it weren't for his terrible 8 game start. Holy ____, I am getting sick and tired of all these ill-informative fans who think they know what is better for the team. Nobody is with you on this one! Do you forget that this team has suffered up to 9 forward injuries at one point, 3 of which are big name guys (Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Chris Kunitz), so what do you expect? GEEZUS! The whole team has pretty much imploded as any team would under those circumstances. The line chemistries have been compromised. It's a mess. The defence had nobody to bring the puck up to at one point prior the recent acquisitions of James Neal and Alexei Kovalev. We had friggin Brett Sterling up! Hopefully with the return of Mark Letestu, and the pick ups of Neal and Kovalev who will be our new No. 1 line for next game (again, by situation), perhaps we may get a few wins here and there. Enough to get us a decent playoff spot and maybe, if we're fortunate, (miracle here!) Sid returns in time for the post season!
I'll gladly keep Fleury. The guy is only 26 and he's taken us to two Cup Finals and won us a Cup. He's been the Penguins MVP this season. It would have been Crosby but he has only played half the season. Fleury has kept us in games we had no business winning. He has a few bad games and you guys want his head?
