Another win for the Caps, this one was easy though cause it was against a crappy Habs team.

2 U's 2 K's = 2 Points. Great game from Rask tonight. I think he earned the start against Nashville.

I wasn't big on Ryder being a healthy scratch though. Daniel Paille is right there waiting to fill that role.

NHL needs to suspend him for 10 games minimum

He cost us the game today

What gets me is that he KEEPS doing it over and over and then tries to act like he doesn't mean to take the cheap shots he takes.

I dislike Cooke almost as much as Avery.

Yep! That's about as blatant as you can get. He's a douche. He should just be suspended for the season. On something that clear cut I see no reason why not.

I eagerly await for Mario to make a statement.:rolleyes2

What for? He already laid the groundwork of what he believes head shots should cost players and teams and the league and other GM's did not go for it. The pens (hence Lemieux) already released a statement through their GM supporting the suspension and condemned the hit. What more do you want?

When Cooke plays within the rules like it or not he is a very effective player. Great penalty killer, grinder and has some offensive upside. Its just these boneheaded plays he needs to get out of his system. I know if I had to fork over 200k + I would learn the rules real fast :lol

For the record I agree with the suspension. I would have been ok with the rest of the regular season, but I'm not going to complain about the first round too. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to the Cooke's, Avery's and Ott's of the world.

It was more of a joke about his hypocrisy. He comes out against head shots when he's signing the checks of one of the biggest purveyors of head shots. He could have sat Cooke down and talked to him about this a long time ago rather than after this last incident. Instead he waited Cooke did what Cooke does and allowed the NHL to hand down the punishment.

I agree with you fully on Cooke's talent when he's not doing something stupid. It really is just a waste.
