No, the problem is the players who go after guys heads. Backstrom has the B's go after his head over and over and over and get NOTHING and he throws one cross check at the end of the game after the B trips Ovi and of course Backstrom gets a match penalty. It's BS the way "refs" are calling these games ( not just this series ). It's inconsistent and players don't know what they can't and can't do...

Of course the old rule of "do it first and get away with it" still seems to apply.

After the way this series has gone and after a recnt scrum you bend over to grab your glove and that spoiled little brat shoves it away with his stick right when you go to pick it up?? You're not gonna react? Then when you do and crap breaks out of course his teammate charges in to save him.

Hartnell did nothing to instigate that?

You play a full season, have expectations to win it all, your team has played like ____ and essentially blown up, you wouldnt be a bit frustrated and take it out on the other team? If your answer is no then I dont know what to tell you.

Ive played against guys I hate and still do to this day, thats part of sports and will always be there, there are examples in every league on a weekly basis. Yet we critizcize the stars as we hold them to this godly standard. Im talking to you Tiger Woods

He's done more than that. He elbows and cheap shots all the time. In my opinion he was the main catalyst for most of the fights. Then he backs away and his boys jump in. If he wants to be tough fine. I understand that. But he should be called for penalties. Same as everyone else.

Again frustration is fine. I have no problem with Crosby trying to hype his team up. Good for him. I have a problem with how the refs handle his play. Malkin is easy. Hit him 4 or 5 times a game and he shuts down. I like that Crosby keeps fighting. I just don't like the way his penalties are ignored.

I agree with you he should and not get any special treatment

Im simply saying hes getting alot of what he is giving back

That game where he flopps when Schenn crosschecks him, they show the play before where he slashes Schenn, but they dont show the play right before that where Schenn cross checks him in the head

I also wouldnt say he backed away Adams just interfered, which is exactly what anyone would want on there team. Guys stepping in for their stars before they get crushed, but kodos to Hartnell for not trying to drop him.

If the Backstrom auto-suspension is upheld then that series is over and honestly......screw the NHL.

The B's have gone after his head time and time again in this series and that's a fact. The B's have gotten away with it time and time again as well and at the end of the game he gets a match penalty? seriously?

I can't take the utter bias NHL on and off ice officials show. There is no consistency and obvious bias for multiple teams and players. I am THAT sick of it that I'm close to just saying screw the NHL and walking because only teams or players the NHL wants to win are going to....or at least will be favored in hopes that they win.
