MAF played well this game. A few awful games and you have his head on a silver platter. Decent past two games, and last night he still was making the big saves at the important times... yup, I am still pulling for the guy!

He played solid in the 2nd and 3rd and did what hes paid to, but you have to admit that was a very soft first goal

Saw the 25 game announcement. Maybe im just not seeing it, butnot sure what was so illegal about this hit, cuz he left his feet?? Or is this just becuase its Torres? weve seen plenty of hits from behind that arent even called as penalties

Check your facts before making stupid posts.

The article states, "hit was "a violation of three NHL rules -- interference, charging and illegal check to the head."

Plus you have to take into account that this clown has a history of doing this.

I'm far from a MAF fan, or a Pens fan.

And I wouldn't go as far as saying "superhuman". But 9 saves on one penalty kill is legitimately awesome.

It sure is, and while I agree the goaltending has been very bad in this series, it isn't entirely on them. Special teams, (no thanks to stupid penalties), and defensive gaffs have helped in that regard. They have been bad, yes. But made worse by the aforementioned reasons. MAF finally played an outstanding goal, despite the one softy he let in.

I'll gladly take a .923 save percentage win over a .750 save percentage loss. How about you Deez?

I don't get excited anymore when it's Daniel Paille on a breakaway. I'm not sure if he could bury it on an open net.

3 years ago I wanted Kit Fisto's head on a silver platter. Fast forward to present day, and I want the Caps to win the series for Kit Fisto. I like the guy now, and I want them to win for him. Just as long as they don't play my Pens. Then it's all, "Hecccckkkk no!"

Wow, what a difference 3 years make. :lol

Wasn't Paille once a blue chip prospect of Buffalo's who was supposed to be a budding power forward star in this league? How did that turn out?

He's definitely has not not lived up to the potential he showed in the OHL. He played his way into the press box in Buffalo. In Boston he's been a solid 4th liner and not much more. As much as Chiarelli has been trying to keep almost every part of this team together I figure, Paille is gone this summer.

Do you want anybody to win for me??
