So you want a guy who sucks EVERY playoffs instead of just SOME playoffs?

****y Lou gets a bad rap

Show me where he lets in some of those Fleury stinkers???

Show me where he boots it into his own net?

Show me where he trips getting onto the ice??

It wasnt his fault they lost the cup last year

Kit has it right. Lou for Fleury is smart, why? Goalies usually don't reach their prime until 28-31.... some don't reach it until their 30's. Look at Brodeur, Lundqvist, and Thomas. All were and ARE at their best into their 30's. Same goes for the Kipper and guys like your Rolosons and Haseks.

Fleury has won us a Cup. Lou hasn't. Fleury was also 2 games away from two Cups, and to my best recollection was pulled out once... Lou had gotten the hook several times in last year's playoffs.

I don't want to make a change that is lateral.

Arm CHAIR GMs suck.

I'm jazzed. I just picked up a 1991-92 AUTHENTIC Caps jersey. I've been trying to get a hold of an actual authentic throwback Caps jersey for YEARS that wasn't too small or seriously overpriced.

Doesn't have a name or number on it either so I can send it to River City to get it customized since they still have the numbers and letters the Caps used back then.
Nice score. Exclusive Pro Sports (EPS) does a good job with customizing older jerseys too. They are based in the US too. They were the only ones who had the fonts for my 90's Ducks jersey i had done last year.

Its Arm chair....:)

I hear ya, but Eli, I know you are a huge MAF supporter, but he mentally just doesnt have the toughness and he isnt just going to develop that with age. This is three years in a row, where he has played a LARGE part is the Pens getting bounced early. Yes there are other parts that have been bad, but cmon, some of these goals at key times mind you are just horrible.

Briere lifts that puck in game 5 and we are not even here today.

Sigh

Also, Bobby Lou gets a bad rep because he has earned it. He's lost his starter status to Cory Schneider. Who not only has outplayed him during the regular season, but also has been the better of the two goalies in these playoffs.

Their third stringer (Eddie Lack) is a more complete goalie than Cory Schneider and Roberto Luongo. Bobby wants out, Vancouver is okay. They have two better netminders than him right behind him, for a combined total less than what he makes alone. Here's the big question: Who's gonna take him, and his ridiculous contract on? His contract is no longer favorable in today's goalie market.

I will check them out. Thanks!

I am not a huge MAF supporter. I am just playing the position of "the opposition", who thinks he takes on far too much flack than he deserves. These playoffs are more deserving of the negative intention he gets from you boardies. It's when he plays balls out hockey, you still rip on the guy like nobody's business. Don't confuse defending the guy, as being a big supporter. I will say I am a fan. I like his demeanor. Seems like a nice laid back guy. I hear fans always enjoy the experience of meeting up with him at say a Mall, and getting autographs from him. These are not autograph sessions either. This is him out in Pittsburgh shopping with his lady friend. He just comes off like a real nice person. Does that make him a great goalie? No. Is he consistent? By no means, no. It is frustrating. I also know he's 27, and still has time to stretch out his legs. I also know he was taken 1st overall in the deepest draft in NHL history (2003), granted 1979 is right up there as well. He was taken over guys like your Eric Staals and Ryan Getzlafs because of his great athletic abilities. He has fast reaction timing, and a good glove hand. I think we have yet to see the best in him. You say Bobby Lou gets a bad rep. Well does he. I like the fact we still win games with him in net, and we have been to the show twice, and won a Stanley Cup in that very important Game 7 which I'll remind you, he, along with that traitor Maxim Talbot were the stars of.

Powerplays from irrelevant stupid penalties, a bunch of odd man rushes due to our Pens players like your Orpik variety, trying to make the huge hits, that take them right out of the play, and cause them to lose their positioning, to help out our goalie, and guys simply not completing assignments, are all factors as to why we're losing this series. The entire blame can not be on Fleury. It's just been that kind of series, were the goalies have not been good. It's been all about the shooters.

Oh btw, I fixed the post to arm chair GMs. haha. Knew arm seat didn't sound right. Ha!

Oh I am by no means bashing him as a person or team mate, never met him but like you said heard nothing but good things. Yes weve won one cup and been there twice, where at times he did play well. But... we had these guys called Crosby and Malkin in front of him.. ..

Well this is over, Ill take the high road, congrats Flyers good luck in the next round.

Eli, Craw and Prax enjoy the rest of the playoffs w/o our team in them :(

Lets hope we make some tweaks and come back stronger next year

I turned off my Facebook posting options and will do so for the next few days so my FB friends can't geode me. Ha! I just don't need the ripping. BM doing it on these forums will be enough. lol

Awesome man! :clap

Well, that blatant off sides that wasn't called against Philly in game 1 really came back to help the Flyers. Should be watching a game 7 on Tuesday night, but oh well. Apparently Philly DESERVED that series win.

This should make for an interesting summer. Clearly, the Pens need help in Defense. While it's obvious that Letang and Crosby were playing injured, I still think the Pens biggest weakness remains on defense, and of course, in goal. While MAF may shine at times, I would prefer someone much more consistent and less susceptible to brain cramps. That was one of the worst playoff goalie (and PK) performances I have seen in over 30 years. Sure, there enough blame to go around, as well as praise for the Flyers, however, I still think this should have been a Pens series. That being said, I can't see the Flyers going very far with Bryzy.

Red Wings, Penguins, and Sharks out. So far I am 0-3 in my playoff predictions. Sheesh.

Pffft.... That's ok. Time to start cheering against teams now. My second favorite part of the playoffs. Hopefully the Canucks, and the Rangers go down next.
