I wouldn't consider Fuhr particularly strong, either.
I can't think of any goalie who would not have looked good with the Oilers of the 80s.

Tim Thomas basically confirmed on Facebook today that he's taking next year off.
Since the the Bruins are going to stuck with his $5 million cap hit next year they need to find a team that needs to hit the cap floor. Charles Wang come on down.
I don't believe a team still gets the cap hit if a player refuses to play.
I can't see any GM agreeing to those terms.
Under the current CBA there is a clause that 35+ year old players stay on the cap.
Good. Get Fleury on waivers ASAP.Penguins sign Thomas Vokun, interesting.

You should know this....................
Johnson was great for us the first year. Year two however, not so much. I liked the guy, but it was definitely time to move on. Vokoun will not only give us a very solid backup to play 25 or so games, but also push and challenge Fleury to keep his head out of his ass. Given all the players that we will be needing to sign over the next two years I don't know if I like the 2yr/4mil numbers, unless this is the start of roster moves. Should be an interesting next few weeks.
Well, when the Kings win the Cup, I hope they do so on home ice.
I have a feeling that won't happen though until game 5 in New Jersey.
I won't say they Cup is LA's just yet. Both games have been extremely close. In the past 4 years we seen two teams come back from 3-1 and 3-0 deficits to win the Stanley Cup in Pittsburgh and Boston respectively.
I don't think the series is over. A betting man would go for LA, but to ignore the recent past and say it's already their championship, is well, a bit premature and, well.... ignorant. I hope NJ surprises and wins both games in LA's building. haha
Stop thinking with your heart. It's over Eli.
Maybe... if they lose this one, it probably is. Only one team has come back from a 3-0 deficit in the Stanley Cup Final in the past 40 years. That team was Boston last year. So the odds don't look good for them at that point. NJ desperately needs that all important win tonight.

It was only 2-0, although 3-0 would have been nice. Quick won't fold up like Luongo last year, I think this one is over in 5.
