I am just hoping it happens. An 82 game season still gives us a full season.

I don't know how they will make it happen. More games packed in the weeks or are they playing into July? lol

Where is the evidence of this? Perception is just that, perception. We won't know today how he truly feels as talks won't continue until tomorrow, so I'll push speculation and assumptions aside from this discussion (from my end) until we have some actual clear evidence how the NHLPA feels vs. just thinking what we feel is what they feel...a so-called hunch.

We don't know that just yet. I like to see what their real answer is when talks continue on Thursday.

You have to keep in mind Donald Fehr was hired to give the NHLPA the best kind of deal for them possible. Unfortunately, that might mean everyone else suffers until that happens. We live in a very selfish stubborn society. I think the players have more than enough. The fact we're even in this debacle is ridiculous. There used to be a time where NHLers had to take on second jobs during the off season to survive. Not saying it was fair then, but I am simply reminding us how bad it was compared to today, where the average player of today is a multimillionaire. The rich just get richer.

Doesnt matter what he thinks, in the end the NHLPA, will vote on it as group. If the majority take it, then they sign

Im confident this gets done by next week

As for the season length they will extend it into May for reg season

Again, looking at the video of Fehr on nhl.com he doesn't give any indication that he is against the deal. Plus it's not entirely up to him... he is simply a suit representing the nhlpa. Many people factor in this decision. We will know more on Thursday, so lets simma down on the pessimistic assumption that Fehr will reject the offer. If he does, fine. You can complain then. Until then, I rather wait for a real answer vs. what someone may feel what it will be before it actually happens.

I don't even see where he's not keen on it... I think he's unclear what to think about it and wishes for his people to look at it. What was he supposed to do? Jump up for joy and say, "Yipeee! YAHOO! THE SEASON WILL START! Yeeehaw!"?
