Nice dig. The Wild are going to be awesome what with Koivu, Parise, Suter, Palmieri, Foster, uh, hmmm....... oh and Setoguchi is a shootout master and Heatley well, he's awesome and a great locker room leader.
Anyone who knows the situation with Dany Heatley, knows he has been a great addition to the team. Is he earning his pay grade? No, but is it from a lack of trying? Again, no. He has given his all.... just playing hurt the last couple of years. It has been well documented he has played with a bum wrist and leg... but whatever. Also, lockeroom presence... Need to move on from his Ottawa days. Nobody has ever said he was a Cancer in Minnesota. Also, not a dig. Again, you assumed I didn't like Brodeur. However, if you read this thread you know I am a huge advocate of the guy. I am a Devils fan (thus my nick), more-so I like the Pens because of Mario Lemieux and Ron Francis. Now Crosby and Malkin. And now assuming I am digging.
No, I am moving along. That and my sidekick SMDG is from the area. So I was more partial to that.... vs. making a dig to get at you. I already did get to you. So mission accomplished!
And yeah, the Wild have nothing. You also forgot to mention Brodziak, one of the top hitters and energy players in Clutterbuck, PM Bouchard, Cullen, and Spurgeon, who's actually great on the PP. Smart positionally sound diminutive defenseman. Rarely is caught out of position and while small, is fast and mobile and uses other means to take a forward off of his game. Like cutting down scoring lanes and takeaways.
You also failed to mention Minnesota's wealth of prospects which consist of many high-end kids like Charlie Coyle, Mikael Granlund, Jonas Brodin, and Matt Dumba. Also other quality prospects in Jason Zucker who is playing lights out for their AHL affiliate, Chris Phillips, and Matt Hackett.
In a couple years we'll see how funny it is to make fun of that team. They have a lot of good quality players now, and great young players coming up from the pipe line. I am ecstatic!
