Fleury outstanding again. Granted he faced fewer shots. lol

Wait, why do you hope the series is even by Wednesday? We want the Pens to win, no? And you're guaranteed your Game 3 and 4. lol

Never mind, it was posted right after the Pens lost Game 1. And I was thinking 2-2, not 1-1. Also, I didn't look at the date you posted originally. Chalk it up to an off day. lol

Ya at the time I wasn't guaranteed the Sens wouldn't sweep... Highly unlikely at the time but still, I didn't want to fork over the money and travel to Ottawa just to see the Pens swept out.

Didn't catch the update on Schultz. But if he's out and Daley doesn't come back... It's going to be tough

Well that wasn't a pretty game. I admit even as a MAF fan, that wasn't good. But everyone is entitled to a bad game. He's human after all. And so is Murray. I remember he had two bad games last Spring as well. Heck, he had some pretty awful games this year. Point is, that whole team looked off... and losing Letang and Schultz, our two best puck moving dmen, hurts.

If the SCF ends up being Nashville and Ottawa, that would probably be quite an unpopular final with two playoff underdogs. Not a very sexy matchup the way LA and NYR was a few years back, or even the way Nashville and Pittsburgh might be. Nashville being a playoff underdog and Carrie Underwood's husband against the defending champion with the best player in the world on its team. Anaheim and Ottawa might not be that popular, either.

It was bound to happen, but I don't blame him

I'm hanginng this one on Sullivan for the line up he dressed and Crosby for the effort, he was -3

We just don't have the Sam team, lots of injuries and outside of Kunitz and Cole, no grit.

If Ottawa continues to plat like they did last night, they deserve to win and will in five. The Pens at really going to have to dig deep down to pull this off

Gritty win by the Pens. I hope the sweep the Preds.

Would love to see that, but I'm more of a realist. I'll give Nashville one.

Watching the game last night I did start to lose heart. At one point, I thought a Predators/Senators final would just be the worst series ever. The hockey gods couldn't allow that.

Pens also don't account for 3 of the cups in the past 7 seasons.

Hopefully they win. I'd like to see them complete their Cinderella season.

No, just possibly 2 in a row. Also, the Hawks have lost many players due to the salary cap. Each year they are a different team. Not to mention, their D men are getting real old, real fast. They still have a solid core but as long as they keep bumping up against the cap, they'll continue to lose quality players. Imagine if Buff, Saad, Shaw, or Leddy weren't cap casualties and were still on the team. That's what makes the Pens special. They're in a position to do something we haven't seen in a long time...repeat as Cup champs. I'm hoping they do. I will never root for a team in the same division as the Hawks. I'm hard wired to root against them. So, Pens in 4 would work for me. :lol
