Oh, sorry. My post was unrelated to yours. I'd just watched the Leafs and Blackhawks and Matthews' game winner had me hyped.

Gorgeous release. That was his second OT winner in a row, too.

With Matthews, Anderson, Marner, Nylander, etc., the Leafs are in better shape than they've been in years. I can't wait to see what happens this year.

Nobody is getting 75 goals this season. That being said, we'll see a good goal scoring year from the Rocket Richard winner. I can see 55-60 goals with the new rules and increased PPs... lots of time and room compared to last season.

But depends how much the refs call. They are calling a lot now, but as history shows us, that has changed as the season progresses. And hot starts don't always translate to a great full season. Not saying a guy like Ovechkin doesn't end with over 50. He should. But a guy like Oshie and Bratt as an example, are just that... hot starts and nothing more.

btw Love the Jets thinking... Hellebuyck wins 3 straight and plays amazing hockey... Jets don't play for two games. Both goalies are well rested and they give the next start to Mason who has been **** all season, even from the start of the preseason. Ride the player on the hot streak. I get it it's to help build player morale.. screw morale... it won't hurt Mason to sit out a game or two. If you're not playing well, and the other guy has been near perfect... he lost his shutout bid because the Jets took a stupid penalty last game... you don't say, well kid, you played a great 180 minutes of hockey, so you're sitting for the guy who has a near 7 GAA to start the year. lol

This is why the Jets are where they are. 5 of their first 6 years of no post season action and then one year they make it they get swept. It's very frustrating when your roster is a top 5-10 team but on the ice it has as much playoff wins in its franchise history, which spans for 15+ years as the Vegas Golden Knights. lol

So i traded Hellebuyck in my money league for Price... me thinks this was a bad deal because Hellebuyck is trending up and is several years younger and Price has no D in front of him. Weber can't do it alone. lol

Q won't play Franson because he's loving Rutta's game. Hell, Rutta is probably the second best D man on the team right now.

I know and Forsling has also done well. But yes, Franson will have plenty of HS this season. Murphy was out when Franson was last in. At least I signed Joakim Ryan, who looks like a younger and better version of Paul Martin.

WOW! No posts since Oct of last year. It looks like everyone's teams are out of/never made the playoffs this year. Kings, Preds, Pens, Bruins, and Leafs all out. Hell, my Hawks weren't even in the playoffs. I'm hoping for a Caps vs Knights Finals. How unreal would it be to have a 1st year expansion team win Lord Stanley's Cup?
