How many years in a row have the sharks made the playoffs only to go out in the first or 2nd rounds. Will they ever make the finals and win a Stanley cup? Is the window of opportunity closing shut?????? What has been their problem and why can't they get over this hump? They are like the Nets in basketball, and the braves or Yankees (of late) in baseball always in contention, in the playoffs but never win it all.

3. It's pretty much shut, with the core as it's currently constituted
4. Hard to answer, the talent's been there, but it's never come together when it matters most.

I'd compare them more to the 90s Indians who were loaded and won a ton in the regular season. However even the Indians broke through to lose twice in the World Series.
