I would also like to add it is very hard to run in this temp. Today it was 27 degrees. It is so hard to catch your breath.

Yeah dude it sucks. The second morning it was only 19 degrees. My chest is so full of mucus right now. You also get that blood taste in your mouth as you try to suck in that freezing air. It really whoops my butt. I will say though that the under armor stuff rocks. My whole body warms up so quickly with it on. I wouldn't even notice it was cold if it wasn't for my damn lungs not liking the weather.
 
So where is everyone on this lately? I wanna know if Keith kept up with it! :lol

I started running last week, running 2 miles 3 days a week... I stop every quarter of a mile or so and do 45 pushups, just keeps my heart beating...

Nope it has still been really cold here. I am going to buy gloves tomorrow as I was running with none. My hands are still chapped from it. I am starting again on Monday.
 
I haven't done anything lately, due to a few factors.
1. Bad Weather
2. Out of Town
3. I have been on this great diet for the last week. Its not very healthy but I have lost close to 15 pounds in a week. It call it the Flu/Bronchitis Diet. It works great, you lay around all day and lose weight.

0 miles to report today. Sorry but it is actually colder than the amount of miles I would have run anyways. Even if I ran 500 feet. LOL! It is -2 degrees with the wind chill factored in. :monkey2

Yep, same here. I was going to run this morning and then I walked outside... way too cold. My lungs hurt just walking.

Temps like this are the main reason I bought a treadmill. I like to run outside when I can but I have no problem popping in a movie while I run either.

I actually had my best run to date on Saturday, 4 miles, 29:11, 8.2 mph

Was a bum and didn't run yesterday (actually I was hungover all day but whatever :eek:) Will run at least 3.5 miles tonight.
 
I know I said this before but it can't be said to many times.

Eat Breakfast. If you don't your metabolism will slow down to start the day and its hard to get it going again so when you eat lunch you will burn less of those of calories naturally. If you can eat a light breakfast a low calorie snack then eat a light lunch, then a low calorie snack then dinner. Also try not to eat to close to going to sleep, your metabolism will slow down while you sleep.

If you can spread the same amount of calories a day across eating 4-5 times a day vs 2-3 times a day you will begin to speed up your metabolism and that will help in losing weight, because you burn into your fat much faster.

This is exactly what I do. I started having fruit for breakfast (one of the best things I've ever changed about my diet). I'm usually hungry around 10 when I'll have a granola bar and then snack on some nuts until lunch.

I usually end up eating 6-8 times a day. A lot of small meals.
