Well here I go. I have changed my diet over the last week. I am also not drinking on work nights anymore. Which means no beer for the football games today. :monkey2 I will then wake up and put all of this gear I bought to the test. I will see how it goes. I will keep you posted as of my status. I am about 6ft tall and weighed in this morning at 185.2. My goal is to lose about 15 pounds and go down two waist sizes.

I have been riding the last week, doing about 10-15 miles up and down the beach after work. Then today I did a full on ass kicking trail ride. I hope to lose a good 20 pounds by summer.
 
Well I ran 1 mile this morning in the cold at 6:00am. It really kicked my butt. Then I couldn't figure out why my Ipod didn't sync to the Nike running site. I will have to figure that part out. Anyways big props to underarmor. My god it was 35 degrees outside and I was warm as hell. Pretty neat stuff. Anyways once I get the stats I will post them here. I was running at an average speed of 15 miles an hour. I think next time I need to slow it down. I am not a young spring chicken anymore. I am also carrying about 40 more pounds since I was used to running. :lol

I should start running here at the end of the month, so hopefully I can lose some as well. I'm about 5'10, 190 lbs.... So I am HEAVIER than Badmoon AND shorter. :monkey2

Feel free to post your progress in here. Maybe we can help motivate one another. Getting back into shape isn't going to be easy. But nothing good for you ever is.

I run too, so that would be cool if we could all share. The holidays put some weight on me, i'd like to lose about 15lbs. Haha i'm only 5'7, and about 175.

I attribute it to all the :duff

i got you beat, same weight inches shorter. I would like to get back to about 170.

Yeah I cut all my weekday beer at starting last night. I can tell it was starting to be a habit because I couldn't fall assleep last night.

Anyways hell yeah post your stats. That goes for anyone else. I guess post all of the information that you can. How far and how long. Any other information is cool too.
 
I used the computer for my first ride.

12.1 miles
56 minutes
12.96 mph average

just under four miles of that is fighting through traffic one I hit the beach trail I averaged a hair over 14 mph.
 
I actually drink beer to lose weight. When I get home and the wife has no food on the table (which is always)...I have a beer or two to kill the hunger...never anything good in our fridge to tempt me. Also since I have been drinking redbull and been on a mostly asian food diet..I've lost close to 10lbs. Keep runnin fellas...:monkey1

My problem is I would eat dinner and then have 10 to 12 beers. :lol
 
I used to do that when I was single... now the Wife cooks such filling meals... so.. :(

I should be able to start running at the beginning of Feb. A few months ago I was running 1.5 Miles at a 8.0 pace, usually took me right under 15 minutes... I am hoping to improve on that.

Back in my Military days I could do 1.5 miles in under 10 minutes...

Yeah I remember the days when I was in shape. I remember my freshman year of college I was going to actually try and do the schools triathlon. I was training quite a bit for it. I think I spent more time running swimming and biking then I did studying then I dislocated my knee cap shortly before it so I missed it.

It was like a five mile run which I had down into the low 40 min area, the bike was 20 miles which I had down to about hour and 15 min, the swim was little over half a mile but I never times myself. It was funny when my and roommate started to talk about doing it I was like I just want to finish, but after a few weeks of training I really wanted to place well. My buddy placed like 75 out of maybe 125 guys and I was in much better shape.

:lol yeah, until your body and muscle starts to eat itself, and your body's lack of nutritional intake forces your kidneys to shut down, along with your liver and the rest of your body.

i'll stick to running myself :cool:
 
Nothing to report today guys. Giving myself a break. I aint going to lie I ache really bad. I will push on tomorrow. :cool:

Breaks are just as important as training... body needs to repair itself. Especially in the beginning. Take care and kick ass all the more tomorrow. :rock
