Yep I drove a bit further to stop by TRU to take advantage of that.

Target has a B2G1 50% off Wii U games. It's not quite as good.

Does the included gamepad use the sensor bar or is that only for the Wii remote and remote plus controllers?

The gamepad has an IR port at the top, so I think it's capable of utilizing the sensor bar, though it could just be there for the universal tv remote function.

theres a lot of people having issues with game pad not synching and wii us not reading game disk this is not good at all . I hope when mine comes tommorow its ok but I might not open it and just sell it after the horror stories that are starting to pour in at the wii u forums website.

Network is still completely down for me.

Check your audio settings! I just figured out mine was set for stereo sound instead of surround. Strange that it would never ask you that during setup.

I gotta say, the Wii U discs have rounded edges that feel really nice. Like Blu ray discs, but smoother. Small note.

IGN's review of Batman Arkham City is 9.5 "Amazing," and THE version of the game to own. Impressive, but meaningless for me as a player that has already played through it repeatedly. For someone that hasn't, DO IT!!!

You can use the analog sticks on the Wii U controller. You don't have to use the touch screen.

I mean, can I control what's being shown on my tv when it's on the Wii U home menu? It only lets me control whats on the gamepad screen, when the app channel menu is on one screen, the page with all the Miis standing around is on the other screen.

It is strange that it didn't ask.
Glancing over at my receiver, it shows that it is getting a Stereo signal.
I'm not at home at the moment but I will change that when I get back.

I do recall the Wii U correctly identifying my video display and set it appropriately on it's own: 1080P, 16x9 aspect ratio.

An 84% so far, from 5 reviews.

Zombi U, on the other hand, is getting 70%, from 9 reviews. :(
IGN even went as far as saying,"the game doesn't look good."

I bought it today, but will open and play it.

Im having the same problem. My analog or d pad wont let me control anything in the Wii menu when its on the TV. Only when its on the touch pad that I can select something.

Oh, I see what you mean. You actually have to hit that symbol that I believe is on the top right corner of the controller screen. That will flip flop what screen gets displayed on the t.v. versus the controller. Once you hit it, all those Miis go to the controller screen along with that wheel of options. So now you can control that.

But yeah, you can only manipulate one screen at a time and it's what's on the gamepad screen.

The game is definitely ugly. The zombies look good but that's about it. It's like they went all out on the polygons and went as low-res as possible on the textures.

I'm sure this is done on purpose for the ability to use the system without the need for the tv to be on. The screens switch so fast I can't see this as a bad or inconvenient thing. It's seamless.

So theres no way of controlling it from the TV? Thats odd. Will take awhile to get used to this new gaming feature. :lol
