Went to BB today and they had about 20 regular units in stock and 3 deluxe in stock. Almost pulled the trigger. Almost.

Went to BB on Staruday but they were all out. My wife just placed an order on their website for the Deluxe + Mario and ZombiU.

It shall be under the tree.:santa

i still dont understand the concept of this thing, the whole point of a game console is to play the game on the big screen tv, what's the point of having that tiny portable screen, i would get a ps vita if i wanted portable gaming. Also the controller is gigantic how exactly are you suppose to work this thing in any serious gaming.

Whole thing seems a step backward, was expecting the next generation motion controller (1 step above ps move) with pinpoint accuracy etc...instead we get this, yet everyone still going crazy over it.

Cannot compute.

I've come to consider it very much like playing a DS in concept except one screen is your tv.

I own one, and play pretty regularly. My username is tjduckett if anyone wants to play some stuff. My main game is Sonic Racers arm.

So you want to make a next gen console for gamers when everyone is playing games on tiny handheld devices? Come in to the 2000's there grandpa. :lol

Also I played A LOT of Nintendoland this weekend at a family event. This game is Game of the Year when it comes to playing with others. My strict, annoying brother-in-law was even giggling playing the Animal Crossing game over the weekend. And he was dressed as a pink squirrel too. :p

Has anyone tried the Rayman demo? I played the first level. The level looked great and the game was fun, but I didn't like having to look down at the controller for the "fly" portions of that first stage.

You can use a regular controller, looks like the 360's I think. I don't think you have to use the large controller. Is that correct for those who have a system?

Nope. I have Mario U and Zombi U that Ive played and I can only use the pro controller on Zombi U Multiplayer.

Never tried it. Bought it thinking I'd give it a go but with a baby on the way I can't be bothered with it right now.

I completely understand that. When the baby arrives, no time for sure.

I've never liked the Wii or even DS, but Wii U really has surprised me so far. Loving Zombiu's multi player, loving Nintendoland. Very cool system so far.

Stop it, I fight buying the deluxe every time I see one in store. :wink1:

You really kinda have to try it to understand it.

:lecture This. Also, the console is still in it's infancy. Wait until game developers get more time to familiarize themselves with it, then you'll start to see some inovative things with the touchscreen gamepad.

It's called the Pro controller and it's use is dependent on the game itself.

Some games don't support it, but you can pretty much count on every FPS game to utilize it.

this system is boss. now i dont have to hide away when playing games. i can play with my family in the room watching tv . GENIUS!
