I am really looking forward to Aliens Colonial Marines on the WII U. Using the gamepad as a motion tracker is going to be awesome. I think the WII U version will be the one to own for this game, anybody agree?

I agree.

That sense of not knowing what's out there in front, around, or behind you has been achieved on other systems. But, as was seen with Zombi U, it has improved.

Having to look down onto the gamepad screen to go through your backpack or to look at the sensor motion device takes your eyes off from your main view, just like it would in a real situation. This creates a little more urgency and anxiety which added to my enjoyment of the game.

It's just going to get better from here as game developers learn of new, innovative ways of utilizing the touchscreen on the gamepad.

I'm really psyched about that potential.
I hope the version is as good as the others so I don't feel like I'm missing out on one feature to get another.

That's awesome and so obvious that I hope the devs take advantage of it.

After playing games like ZombiU, I can see many really great uses for the gamepad.

It should be a blast:hi5:

I got ZombiU and Mario yesterday but they're going under the tree. :yess:

I just opened Mario to get the extra 10 reward points in time. and I was a bit annoyed to realize that the Nintendo Land in the bundle doesn't come with a Reward Code. That's pretty lame.

When you register the deluxe system, Nintendo Land will show up in your To-Do's after a couple days.

And it's worth more than a regular game too to make up for it.

Actually no. The to-do for the Deluxe system is worth 50pts and the game itself until yesterday was 70pts.
Compounding the fact that the Basic and Deluxe system are both worth 160pts.

I'm not going to lose sleep over or anything but still.

I noticed last night that Target has a buy 2 get 1 free Wii U game sale this week if anyone is looking for games. Batman was on sale for $40, Call of Duty for $50 as well.

I got 160 coins for my system. Might wanna double check that. If you only got 50, I'd shoot an e-mail to Nintendo.

The post play survey is higher than a normal game is what I meant. After you register the deluxe it gives you a post play survey for Nintendoland.

Seriously? Oh my. :thud:

So what are the must have games for Wii U? I'm picking one up for my son tomorrow.

This is a tough one to answer, not knowing your son's age or videogame interests, but I would definitely recommend the New Super Mario Bros U.

Try Arkham City and Black Ops II if he's older (or for yourself :)).

For party games, give Rayman Raving Rabbids a look. The game makes creative use of the gamepad controller and it's hilarious.
