My son is 4, so Super Mario is a must (he's a Mario-head)... Epic Mickey 2 is a strong possibility... Kinda want Arkham for myself. :lol

Mickey wasn't too well received. It may not matter to a 4 year old though. You might want to consider Skylanders. It's very kid friendly and popular, but a bit pricey with the way it works. You have to buy toy figures to use the characters in the game. A novel concept, but also a shameless cash-grab. Still though..kids seem to like it.

Argh! I ordered my Wii U from the Sears Marketplace (don't ask) on Dec 10 and the package still isn't here. I can't wait to try this out if or when it shows up.

Yeah, I read the Mickey review on IGN and that was the general impression I got. Still, as you said, my son might still enjoy the heck out of it... I'm staying away from Skylanders. :lol

If you are looking for three games don't forget...

I noticed last night that Target has a buy 2 get 1 free Wii U game sale this week if anyone is looking for games. Batman was on sale for $40, Call of Duty for $50 as well.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you just take it back?

I was going to keep it and then decided against it to late to get anything other than a store credit. I'd rather have cash back.

Edit: you just got me thinking and I checked the bestbuy return policy for holidays. This doesn't fall within the dates but I'm going to call and see if they could make an exception.

Edit II: If they go off the pick up date I'm good within the extended holiday policy. If they go off the purchase date I'm out of luck.

Edit III: they said they should be willing to take it back at the store so I'm going to try that. Thanks for bringing that up again, I wouldn't have checked into that extended holiday policy if you hadn't mentioned that.

There you go!

Super Mario Bros U is a safe investment. Your whole family will enjoy it.
While your 4-year old is controlling Mario with the Wii remote (not included so buy at least one if you haven't already), you can use the gamepad and place platforms in all the pits and holes by simply touching the screen with the stylus. Your son will enjoy the game more if he's not falling in the pits all the time.

Arkham City's best version is on the Wii U, at least that's what I read somewhere. Or was that in a dream...

It was a dream. The Wii U version was criticised for how it used the gamepad. Which is the only difference to the console games, especially as the GOTY edition is half the Wii U price as it is.
