There's that, plus I think it will be more expensive than normal. Plus while they will be able to support a game across all the consoles, I don't see anyone buying a Wii U for those types of games.

Especially when it launches. Who's going to buy Batman Arkham City for Wii U when it's been out on the other consoles for a year?

EXACTLY. I mean, why buy a console which just isnt better than current HD? The difference will be marginal if any graphicwise. tablet limits everything, launch lineup is rehashes, shovelware, multiplat and only pikmin looks good.

Its just pointless unless your under a rock and never had a HD console which youd buy a cheap ps360 with thousands of established games.

Nintendo fanboys and casuals aside, thats all there is

I think they've jutst waited too long for this, it got poor reviews almost a year ago at the intro, and it doesn't look like they've used the time since then to make improvements. I still enjoy my wii, for what it does, but this is an easy pass for me, I'll stick to my Vita now.

All I need is an HD zelda and Metroid and I'm happy.

Thats the target audience; zelda/mario/metroid franchises.

For me, mario got stale real fast. Sunshine and Galaxy were awsome. but theres over 30 mario games in 10 years. I hate the repetative franchise. COD gets hate for rehashing but mario puts a ne background and a power up and gets lsuded for it.

Nintendo just port, rerelease and remake alot of games or throw sequels all the time. Nintendo IPs IMO are boring.Theres nothing fresh or new. 3rd party games are on my existing console already. Theres no selling point to me

I'm really not impressed with the Wii U at all so far. I bought my Wii a year or so after it came out and really haven't gotten my money's worth. This version just looks like they slapped on HD graphics (7 years late) and gave it a insanely stupid expensive controller.

All that being said, I'm a sucker for Zelda. I'll undoubtedly pick this up at some point just for that. Skyward Sword was a fantastic adventure and one of my favorite games in a long time.

Today's Pre-E3 show focused on the new controller, of which some details had leaked about a couple weeks ago. Highlights:

Clickable full analogue sticks
redesigned front and back
Functions as a universal tv-remote as well as a game controller
Hint/guide system will be implemented into the Gamepad.

Nintendo needs a few things.

1) The NEW Super Mario Miiverse demo they showed needs to be included with the system.
2) We need a teaser of Super Mario 4 with unbelievable new graphics.
3) We need a 1st party mature title from Nintendo.

they need to show that there will be a dedicated online experince for the hardcore gamers in my opinion

I like what I'm seeing with the Pikmin 3 demo (in terms of displaying what the Wii-U is capable of.)

Obviously, everyone has different 'tastes,' but just wondering if another game would have been better suited to kick things off. Not trying to sound like a 'downer,' but I was more interested in design and the graphics of the system more so than the game itself. Nonetheless, I'm happy for Pikmin fans.
