I wonder if we all would be hating so much if the WiiU were backwards compatible with the Wii and made the past games playable in full HD?

I would hehe. But thats only because I was really hoping N would go all out with this hardware.

Yeah, that's pretty good for something showing essentially HD video, wireless, while transmitting large amounts of data. Better than most tablets these days if true.

And just to clarify, I don't hate the Wii-U. I just hate that we frankly saw nothing new from Nintendo and they are still treating this system like it's coming out a year from now and not in 4 months.

Where is the interface? Where is the multiplayer? What else can we do with it? I've been looking on e3.nintendo.com for the info like they said and nothing is there. Hell, what is the price? The release date? What is included in the box? What are the outputs? The inputs? Is it backwards compatible at all with the Wii? Do my games transfer over from the Wii or 3DS that I downloaded? Will it use the Club Nintendo reward system? Will there be achievements? Does it somehow use Streetpass from the 3DS (like rumored)? Will the 3DS be able to link up? Is there a harddrive? What memory system does it use?

And those are just a few things that I can think of.

I don't get the hate at all. If you guys want your brown shooters, you have plenty of other options for that. :dunno

Who cares about shooting games? It should be called the mario-U.

I dont mean it wrong, but the Wii U will only be good for people who never had a 360 or PS3; its game we have already played on those two consoles. Lets put it like this; If nintendo want to sell consoles to people other than non HD generation, they need to have something more than games that are already on the current HD generation consoles.

What entices me and many other to buy a brand new expensive console, to get a game thats already been out for many months and/or is out on the console I already have. The Wii U isnt a big step away from the PS360, its a slight improvement over an 8 year console at the end of its cycle. It NEEDS something to sell it to people like me, because ANOTHER Mario or ANOTHER zelda remake, will not sell it to me.

Theres nothing that warrants purchasing a new console for. Zombiu looked better when it was the Freaks game. Its full of Mario games which I dont enjoy, and there is no new IP's.

ive got to take my eye OFF the TV to use it. Thats my gripe. Do that in Arkham city or in the middle of a gunfight on Zombiu and your dead. Its simple as and its just stupid. You cant use two screens at once.

I refuse to buy a console with a crap screen controller at an inflated price to play games I have been playing for a year which arent improved in any way apart from maybe a slight graphic alteration which is barely noticeable. its cheaper to stick with the current HD gen (as for the past 8 years) than buy a new console which is almost the same, but late to the party.

Dont mean it wrong, everything with Arkham City for example, you could most of it on your Dpad and select button. The bat Sonar is confusing because its not blatantly not necessary and irrelevant because since october 2011, not been needed.

its a console for the people who unfortunatly couldnt get a 360 and PS3 On that reason, I hope the Wii U is brilliant and affordable for that group of people who missed out.

But then, a 360 is cheaper than a Wii u with a tried and tested thousand+ game catalogue, like the PS3.

While Nintendo is making a big deal about the Wii U supporting two Wii U GamePads, don't get excited just yet.

Via Twitter, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said, "When you use two, the framerate halves to 30 frames per second."

So that means all those 60fps Wii U games Nintendo has been banging on about slow to 30fps if you fire up a second Wii U GamePad.

Over time, I'd imagine this is something Nintendo will rectify. Which is probably why Iwata added, "At launch, we'll start by offering games that use only one [Wii U GamePad] and then expand from there."
