I only had the very first Nintendo and then I went the other way. I am not sure why as I missed a lot of great games. To be honest though I owned OOT as my College room mate had a 64. However he was addicted to it and there was another guy that just would not let you play without saying something. Therefore, a couple hours into it I decided that I would just wait for a later time to play it. I just could not pass this one. When OOT goes to the virtual console I will download it and then finish it then.

They have a collector's disk that has the first two Zeldas, OoT, and Majora's Mask. It's for the Gamecube, which will play on the Wii. You should look for it, it's a great deal for all four of those games. There's also the Oot Master Quest disk for Gamecube that has the original game and the special version that has harder dungeons.

Any thoughts on Rayman? I'm thinking of getting Rayman and Super Swing Golf for my first Wii games.

Yes, I know all about Zelda, but I want short arcade style gameplay before I get sucked into a 60 hour commitment. :monkey1

I remember that disk I will have to see if I can not find it.

:chew :chew Picked mine up this morning!:chew :chew
...but now I'll have to wait for the evening to play... :tap

I finally got to play some Zelda last night after a week long break due to packing and working. Man what a rush! That level protecting the Zora kid, WHOA!!! I'm having so much fun exploring the levels it's so inclusive.

I need Monkey Ball (don't take that the wrong way) but man I love that game I need to get the Wii version.

I will possibly get one of these tonight and was wondering what else other than the basic system I need to get?

Depends on how many people might be playing it with you. I'd recommed at least one extra Wii-mote and Nunchuck. You don't need a memory card. As far as games go, Zelda is a must own.

Thanks Loki, Zelda will be a Christmas present from my mother and I will pick up the extra controller.

True, you don't NEED a memory card, but reust me if you have an SD card than funs to be had. I only recomend it because there's a paint program for your pics on the Wii that's like Mario Paint and I like messing with it. I'm totally someone who's taking advantage of EVERYTHING the Wii is offering, even the smallest and stupidest extras. It's all fun!

Has anyone here played Zelda Wind Maker and if so what did you think of it?

Wind Waker ?? It was a really good game, a LOT different then all the different incarnations of Zelda (which could be good or bad, depending on your POW, I think it was interesting). It takes a LONG time to beat, which can be a problem sailing your stupid ship for like 18 hours across the world.....

The Wii is amazing. I have been playing wii sports for the past hour and a half and I love it. Looks like I will finally have to get a wireless connection set up now so I can dl Sim City and Mario 64 $250 well spent. :D

I loved Wind Waker. The sailing was a bit tedious until you could warp, but after that it was fine. The cell shaded style was a nice touch and fit well with the gameplay. It's a great Zelda game and has the feel of the past games with a new look. If you haven't played it, go get it. You can probably find it for around $15 now and it's more than worth it.

Thanks for the info guys. FF12 is my next task but after that I am going to have to play more Zelda and I think the next one will be Wind Waker. I would love to get OoT that Loki recommended but for the master quest version brand new it can cost a lot of money. I have never been into buying used games but all the local game stops have it used for $40 so I may have to break down.

My Wii and Zelda arrived today... They're sitting in my living room, calling to me... 'Come play with us!'...

...2 and a half wekks to Christmas...

...g/f not home for a couple of hours yet...

...must resist...
