And yet they let you teach the little children? :lol :lol That's why I was looking at highschool level.
My dad has been a HS teacher for 32 years, trust me HS students take just as much patience as 2 year olds. Hell a large % of them act like 2 year olds:lol

Just finished wading through all this. (Skimming really.)

This is very disappointing news, but it's not the end of the world.

I'm not quitting SS, but I'll be buying a lot less than I did last year, at least until the armored figures come out.

There are some non-armored characters that I'm looking forward to, but not a ton. I really want some clonetroopers and Vader, but I'm not going to pass up a nice Luke X-Wing figure just because I can't have Darth until 2008 or 2009.

Also, please consider this: Remember, Toy Fair is not a fan-oriented event. It's an event intended to further business and press relationships among manufactures, wholesalers, and distributors. We have a lot of cool stuff from a WIDE variety of licenses/manufacturers to showcase, but it is NOT like Comic-Con. They are completely different types of events, thus Sideshow approaches/plans for them differently.

Please refer to our past years' Toy Fair coverage as an example:

It's gonna be fun, it's gonna be cool, we'll have lots of new pre-orders, and I expect some people will be completely happy, and some will not... just like normal :D :duff

I don't think so. They said that there's going to be 1 new 1/6th figure, and I don't think that's the chess table.

I didn't think Bubo would lead off 2007 either LOL.

You're a brave girl to come here without an escort, Dusty! :lol Hope you're wearing some of that armor you folks have in development or at the very least, some high boots as it can get pretty deep in here :lol ...

Thanks for the input...just looking back over what you folks have brought us, I see great care, variety, good artistry & craftsmanship and most of all, a sense of FUN (even as folks here sometimes hurl unmentionables at each other over them ) ...

It's hard knowing that it'll be awhile before we get a taste of the "armored" scene of Star Wars, but I sense when it comes, it'll blow our socks off (at least mine anyway :D )...

Lookin' forward to the TF coverage....

Who wants to bet that Sideshow will be showing off more of Hot Toys and Medicom's stuff then their own!?!? Hahaha.

Personally, I don't think Sideshow CAN'T make Armored Figures...just at this time they WON'T. I can guess several reasons (price-point,lack of armor-making experience in the 1/6 figure realm, etc.) but at this point they just want to hold off on it.

But still, while they can get a zillion licenses...they'll never step it up in the 1/6 figure world if they don't stay up with the competition. And just by "playing it safe" and sticking to figures with predominately cloth outfits in the end is going to lead some customers away. Why else do you think the Krusaders didn't get their MEDIEVAL F'N KURGAN?
