The problem with Hardy is that he's too gruff at this point. He doesn't have that aristocratic aura about him that Bond is supposed to have. Or that sociopathic, cold gaze. Hardy's more of the hardboiled, rough around the edges, "could burst at any moment" type. Maybe he can pull it off though, because he is a good actor.

Also, he's 5'2''...

With heels on

Nonsense. Hardy is a Big Guy.

I hope that Hardy rumour is false...and that it's only made up to generate some publicity for the new movie. Not a fan at all...he's a ham actor at best and not a leading man.
(then again with bond having a daughter in the new movie he could play second fiddle to her...as he did in that mad max reboot)

He also lacks natural humour and at 5'8/9 he'll be shorter than craig. Craig was a great bond but they need to go in a different direction. Someone with a lighter touch is needed...

Well, this is the final nail in the coffin, this movie been delayed until April 2021 a year from it?s original release date.

:lol

Big disappointment. EON won't make a streaming deal because no one will pay them what they want to do it, so they pushed. They are going to accrue quite a sizeable interest payment on their loan over the course of a year. But I suppose they are counting on theaters coming back globally if not so much here in the states by then.

I just don't think even James Bond can get me into a theater in 7 months. I'll watch it like I did when I was a kid -- on TV.

Yeah, this whole year is just one big loss. Strangest year ever. To have an entire year just... come and go with little to show for it. In 20 years it will be like it just never happened.

Kind of feels like a big conspiracy to be honest, first off your talking about releasing a big franchise in April 2020, then to be pushed back until another year until know knows when, then all of a sudden this happens. Don?t know how much of a deal they wanted with the interest bigger than that Disney was pushing for Mulan at this rate LOL

Then Iger stepping down in February feels like he knew what was going to happen.
