In today's times it seems people who don't believe are more vocal about their non belief than believers are about their faith. Kind of sad.

I'd say the Bible is 110% true

II Timothy 3:1-9

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

what about coveting thy collectibles rather than helping the meek and poor with monies spent? How big would Jesus' collection be? How much would he set to the side for material possessions that have no function in life rather than give that money to the needy?
Or are you overweight and treating the temple He has given you with disrespect? After all we're striving to live in His way correct?

People cherry-pick which parts of scripture they want to adhere to. But hey, all we have to do is whatever we want at the moment and then ask for forgiveness later and alls good right?

No matter how accurate they will scoff, mock, laugh at and attack. It's their nature.

There is nothing wrong with having things. There is nothing wrong with having money. What's wrong is treating your money as your god......as Jesus told the rich man to give up his money and things and follow Him.....why? Because Jesus knew money was first in the rich man's heart.

and Im not trying to ruffle any feathers, its just many things don't add up to me.
Personally I see nothing wrong with using my God given mind to question what doesn't make sense. Thats why it was given to me IMO.
I picture myself walking thru the pearly gates getting a smack on the rear from Jesus with him saying "Good job using your noggin. Those guys down there really jacked up a lot of my teachings over the years. Welcome Home."

I think that just comes down to whether or not you believe that God is "weak" enough to not get the "word" out, so to speak. I'm on the side that thinks an omnipotent God is going have a pretty easy time making sure His Word stays intact regardless of meddling attempts by mortal men. Yes there have been mistranslations/misinterpretations in other languages (English or otherwise) but the original Hebrew/Greek/Armaic texts still stand.

You'd think an omnipotent God would be able to get more than one family to worship him so he didn't have to commit genocide on his creation.

And that at the very least he could get the descendants of that family to worship him so he didn't have to let his son get crucified 2000 years later.

I know you didn't ask me but as long as they don't change the world view of Christ being God and the one path to salvation (which probably won't even come up in this movie) I don't mind some embellishment for the sake of good Hollywood fun. If they want to add monsters or aliens, I guess I'm game.

It's not like people suddenly started believing that Abraham Lincoln slaughtered vampires just because of one popcorn movie. :lol

I mostly agree. Again, I'm only concerned about the Watcher characters. They're supposed to be angels, right? The angels who came to earth? If so, they are villains of the highest order. These are the first Demons, and their offspring were the primary cause of the violence that brought the flood in the first place. And these Demons are going to help Noah build the ark?

I don't mind them adding dialogue, characters, and even plot to fill the gaps, but don't reverse the roes of key players.

I agree with just enjoying the story for what it is and lose the pretentiousness of insisting its accurate to stories which are impossible to verify their own accuracy anyway.

Even books that are openly fiction should be adapted with respect if a film maker doesn't want to totally alienate fans of the book. Point is, this movie is based on a beloved book and it should be adapted with respect.

I mean, Peter Jackson didn't make Saruman the hero.

Anybody remember prince of Egypt I don't care what any of you say. That was the greatest bible movie I've ever seen. Discuss!!

Keep something in mind...Demons are the disembodied Spirits of the Giants that were destroyed in the Flood. The Giants that came from the group of fallen angels (Nephilim) Have no resurrection. The Fallen Angels that kept not their first estate are currently bounded in chains (Jude 1:6).Demons are the disembodied spirits seeking to possess someone,to have ownership. They are the "haunter's",the "pretender's" or what mainstream likes to call 'Ghosts'..

I am sure Hellywood will make it look like these 'Devils' showed Noah the way instead of the Almighty God in Heaven speaking directly to Noah and super-naturally guiding the Animals into the Ark.

^i like the way you have to paraphrase that book to make a point.lolz

IMO, just to drop the religious debacle. why didn't they just go for the epic of gilgamesh the movie instead of noah? that would have been a better choice.

Hope you're wrong...

Because it's a better story? This is a perfectly good story.
