you'd think in this day and age people would think twice before playing jokes like this. i'm not sure how this case panned out, but i wouldn't be surprised if the courts sided with the woman and they had to pay her for a toyota.

I just don't know what kind of reaction her employers were expecting. It sounds from what I've read elsewhere that they actively misled people into thinking that the contest was for a car, so I can't really blame her for suing (she won, apparently).

Didn't realize she actually won the lawsuit... good for her. A funny prank, but even funnier (in a way) that it backfired on the company :lol

On the plus side, at least they bought a decent Yoda toy. I was expecting it was just a little 3 3/4" figure :lol

I never got around to reading the full story on this. Was this like a year long promotion or something, was it company or district wide? I have a hard time someone could be stupid enough to believe that their employer would actually award a real car for selling $3 beers during a 2 week period or something like that.

But hey, doesn't take the sharpest tool in the shed to work at, or manage, Hooters.

The company messed up by printing flyers saying to win a TOYOTA and I believe they even stated that it was a pickup truck.

Real morons right there. At least be smart enough not to put it in writing. :rotfl
