You just proved that evolution is a religion and should be separate from the state. Anything above theory and without facts is faith-based.

I think what Shalamar was trying to say there is that Humans did not evolve from the Apes you see at the zoo.
But if we went back, far back into our ancestry, you would finally come to a species that was a common ancestor. That species then, because of circumstances - physical environment etc, branched into Apes, Humans etc.
In the same way that cats and tigers come from the same "family". Different animals altogether, but same family nevertheless.
And if you find it impossible to believe that a species branched out and created such variety then think of this:
It has been suggested that all humans originally came from africa, we were all dark skinned, dark features etc... look what happened as a result of some groups moving around geographically. we now have blond people, red haired people, black people, white people, asian slanted eyes, short eskimos, people with blue eyes, green eyes and a myriad other variations.
A chinese person is obviously not the same "type" of human as an african american person, but that doesnt mean they dont come from the same family.
